This is the time for Simeone to set up a historic run of titles for Atletico. Next season will be his for campaign as the favorite rather than underdog. Barca and Real are both going through a transition phase, with both squads aging and the clubs tight on funds. Simeone could come away with a three year streak of titles if he plays his cards right.

Barca with Fati-Aguero-Messi upfront and Pedri - Busquets - De Jong below them isn't that "bad". Didn't they get Eric Garcia as well as a CB?

Anyways, shitty as fuck league.

Messi not renewing?
Insane to hear.

PSG looking more and more likely it seems. FFP has always been a joke but this summer transfer period has made it abundantly clear. City and PSG spending while almost every other club is trying to breakeven, spend little, or cover their losses.

Barca's trouble aren't FFP,-related. It's the Spanish federation that is forcing salary caps in order for them to register players.

I'm pretty sure this is just an attempt by Barca to strong arm La Liga into further reforming their salary cap. Somewhat similar to what Messi was doing with Bartemeou when he announced that he wanted to leave Barcelona. Imo Messi will still be a Barca player come the end of the transfer market or a "free agent."

Barça stated that they expect financial losses approaching $500 million for the previous season. Half a billion. Díos mios.

That’s about ~$100-150 million more than Juventus iirc @ ~$300m.

I think Barça need the Super League more than both Juve and Madrid.
