I don't get it. Are Madrid shit, or are they about to win the Champions League? Gijon is in the relegation zone either way. I just turned on the tv so I haven't seen the goals they conceded, but I really don't know what to make of them.

Not really focused, basically resting whole team (except Modric and CBs, which they cant afford to rest due to injuries), drama is fun for everyone, gijon fighting for survival.

But Isco with clutch slick precision decider in last minute :tuttosport: Such a slick mofo. Whoever gets him if he leaves them will be so lucky.

:agree:

Crazy how many on this forum don't want him here.

Edit. Maybe that was just Zach and Zizi who called him soft and mediocre.

i called him a ballhog and unnecesary with Pogba (and Dybala) here since they occupy the same space basically. still dont need him as Dybs is our 10, but wouldnt mind someone like Roma or inter getting him

Modric didnt play either, they had Kovacic-Isco-James

anyone watching Barcelona? How are they doing/ are they playing starting lineup?
Watched the start. Real Sociedad were able to create a lot of changes in the early going. Messi seems to be in good form but other than that Barca haven't shown anything special and they look really suspect at the back whenever Real Sociedad go forward just as they did against us.

They have looked pretty bad in the second half. It could be due to conserving energy or just switching off.

Messi scored one good goal and one tap in. Also provided an assist. He was allowed near the box though, which I am sure we can prevent.

Rest of the team played pretty average. Also, Ter stegen is shaky. Almost Joe Hart level.

About Isco and James - Its funny how form can change people minds
If I ask 1 year ago to about Isco vs James - 95% of the forum would go crazy for James
If I ask now I bet most will pick Isco
Honestly both are very good players which I`d gladly take from Real but the way I see it
James - he has better vision and is more likely to assist or score
Isco - has a better touch on the ball and is a player that can lift the team and make them play better (Not many players can do that..)
Its really hard to pick one between them IMO as James is the more shiny jewel but I always had a soft spot for Isco..
Wondering what you guys think of picking between them..
As for Ascensio - Honestly I`m not that crazy about him - Yeah he does well but so does L.Vasquez and others.. When you play for Real you have so much support on the field which makes it difficult to not put on a show...

Going to Barcelona - They didnt impress me but I didnt expect them to.. I think they are saving themselves for Wednesday.. They`ll try to put on a fight and will put a lot of pressure so we must be tough and precise - even more than the 1st leg - If we do that there is no chance Barcelona score 3 past us and we might even win there

With things going as they are going James is definitely out this. We might get him imo and with some nice installments deal, the other question is should we go for him.

Well if we dont get Sanchez, James would be absolutely sick
Lets say we keep the 4-2-3-1 formation LW is needed James fits the bill!
Lets say we change to diamond AM needed unless we play Dybala there and then we will need a forward - James fits the AM bracket...
In any case one attacking midfielder is needed

as for CM - I personally think the 4-2-3-1 could be problematic against teams like Bayern or Atl Madrid - a CM could provide that solution

Yeah I forgot lol, they litterally rested whole team except CBs (and because of 2 injuries), really, who has the level of depth Real has? We have big depth in defence and a little for CMs, but they have have for all positions stacked, only weak depth is for LB, for that emo Coentrao.
