Yeah but remember that Juve love to send young & talented players on loan!
And what happens when they go on loan 90% of the time? They dont come back!
Utd suits ronaldo nicely cause they are willing to give the youngsters a go!

Marchionni is a more than adequate signing, in fact his gameplay has gon up a notch for the last 2 seasons!:agree:
I don't think we would have loaned out Ronaldo though. At the time of asking he was already an established talent and would have provided excellent cover on the flanks.

I can deny that actually. Cristiano's potential is overrated as well, everything about him simply annoys me. His hype is what made him a star player in the first place, not his skills.

Juve can certainly ignore a player like Cristiano Ronaldo. Especially as we've signed Macrchionni too now, who we both like luckily.
Perhaps you underrate Ronaldo simply because the hype surrounding him annoys you? I admit that he can be annoying when he tries to be too fancy or do too much but he has extraordinary ability. His movement is good, he has pace, he can dribble, cross, head and shoot and at his age he's only going to get better. We'll have to wait and see how far his natural talent takes him but he definitely has the necessary qualities to be a great winger.

I'd think if we had gotten Ronaldo back then when he was 18 we would've loaned him out atleast for one year to let him get accustomed to serie A.

I don't think he is over rated but he is a bit spoiled, IMO. The media got to his head thats why he isn't as good as his first 6 months at Man U.

C. Ronaldo actually reminds me abit of Zlatan in terms of his trick style. Anyways, he still is on his way to becoming a great winger.

The signing of Marchionni pleases me quite alot, although its a bit of a shame that we won't have sufficient cover/rotation for Camo until then but I've been impressed by him since last season.

The great thing about Marchionni is that he's someone we won't hesitate to put into the first team whenever Camoranesi isn't doing well. He can give the Mauro serious competition for his place and is of the exact standard of players we need on the bench. And on a freaking free transfer too. Can't ask for more.

Now all we need is to fix up the backline for next season.

the cover for camoranesi is there, but what about the left wing?we needed a replacement for nedved more than we needed cover for camoranesi.and marchinno isnt half as effective on the left as he's on the right.he's a very good player nevertheless.but what about nedved's replacement?.

Ronaldo is talented, but remember in serie a there are players like our "beloved" Materazzi that would hack him down if he tried those tricks of his!

For Sure he would have been loaned, look at the young talent thats been at Juve -Brighi,Miccoli,Maresca,Gasbaronni & Pericard they were all loaned & never came back.It seems to be a tradition at Juve to ship off young talent & never give them a chance.:depressed

its good to have quality back up for camoranesi, not that mutu wasnt, but its obvious he was more of a nedved back up.

no one really knows what formation and tactics capello has in his plans for next season. maybe a playmaker is replacing nedved, whether it be mutu or ballack or another player...hence, no need to directly replace nedved with a left winger.
