Perhaps you underrate Ronaldo simply because the hype surrounding him annoys you? I admit that he can be annoying when he tries to be too fancy or do too much but he has extraordinary ability. His movement is good, he has pace, he can dribble, cross, head and shoot and at his age he's only going to get better. We'll have to wait and see how far his natural talent takes him but he definitely has the necessary qualities to be a great winger.

Perhaps it is the hype. Yet his tricks have never impressed me, I do not think a stepover for example is something special. And the endless 'he is good, because he is still young' comment is another think that has annoyed me in the past.
Though I do enjoy watching him now and then, just because it's funny to see how he loses the ball .
