i watched Bosnia - Belgium simultanly to the Italy game and i catched some actions from Besic. he had some amazing tackles, also had some nice passing. a true warrior on the field...

i remember him at Hamburg when he was 17-18 years old. had some discipline problems, picked a fight with Torsten Finck (the coach at the time). i hope he doesent do stuff like that anymore. otherwise he has a bright future ahead of him

Last 2 matches for Bosnia he was amazing, one of the few players who can close down Bale and Hazard quite comfortably, he did just that.

he played CB when he was still at Hamburg 3-4 years ago if i remember correctly. when was he moved to the midfield? i didnt follow him when he left the Bundesliga so i dont know much about him since then. from what ive seen at the WC and yesterday he has improved a lot. i like his grinta and how he tracks back even to the goal line if necessary to win the ball back. what i also like is that he has a great long ball for a defensive orientated mid. if he keeps developing at this pace, Everton shouldnt be able to keep him for more than 2-3 years

Added to the other 2 top draw midfielders we have, thats 3 players that could leave for huge fee's.

i remember Asamoah as a CM playing for udinese and am Egyptian so i knew him well since his U-21 tournaments also. we are wasting a great CM potentials and abilities in this guy.

Pogba and Vidal are both better CMs and he is actually a great LWB, he needs to play waay more than Evra. want to see him more as a LB before i make a judgement but im sure he'll do great there too. thats the only place (LB/LWB) where he gets to start so its best to keep things as they are

and now that's not a good business. listen man you bought the fake vidal v2 aka peyrera to rotate as a CM and brought this old fella Evra. when in my opinion instead you should have bought a great young natural LB and rotate asamoah with the CMs we have and now that's a good business. and in the end of the day i doubt that Evra nor Peyrera will contribute to our greatness this season

Asamoah is an amazing wingback.

The profile of this position is basically impossible to satisfy in every single aspect, you'd have to be excellent in both defending, crossing, dribbling, creativity, huge stamina,...
In other terms, you'd have to be a beast defender and flashy winger in one, not to forget being able to run for 90 minutes straight.

Asamoah fullfills most of these criteria perfectly, of course lacking in others as well, but that's to be expected.



Evra on the other hand seems to be a rather mediocre wingback to me.
