but would u trust him against the likes of robbe, bale, dimaria attacking that wing?.
Yes. He's tackling is supbeb. Hes's probably as good as vidal in that regard. Only reason you don't see him do it as much because his positioning is superb that he doesnt really need to.vHe's as good as Barzagli in positiong

he's also the fastest player in the sqaud

Asamoah is absolutely worth a shot as a LB. The only defensive questions I'd have are on crosses, whether he can always cover off surging attackers. So far at Juve, I haven't seen him make a mistake in that area. He's always in excellent position in his own box on aerial balls but he also does lack height so he could be climbed over in nervy situations.

Then again, there are/were quite a few great fullbacks who were short. lahm, evra, alaba, alves off the top of my head.

Then you think of the benefits. Well, you don't have to spend 10-15M on a replacement who might not even be an upgrade. You already know Kwadwo is firmly integrated and settled into the team. Chemistry is there already. And a LB usually has more time to cross since he's not the one driving forward with the ball, he's supporting. So you could even see an improvement in his attacking quality.

To the question about if I'd be comfortable with him marking Robben, Di Maria, Ronaldo, Bale, Ribery, etc. Well, there are only 2 players I'd be more comfortable with in space against those players - Barzagli and Vidal. Asamoah has shown he has incredible pace, agility, acceleration, strength and most importantly disciplined timing.

When it comes down to it, there are very few names available that seem like a certain upgrade on him. I mean, Schmelzer, Santon, Silva, etc. cannot be better than him IMO.

Asamoah as LB will be nuts. If he has a superb winger in front of him in charge of the attacking duties... asa just needs to be his back up ad run those 3/4 of the field like a boss. he doesnt even need to g further.
Why would it be nuts? He's got the physical strength, the pace and the attacking skills. Only needs to work on those defensive line tactics and he should be on his game.

His physicality and awareness alone makes him worth a shot. Even if paired against a top notch winger like Ronaldo... im pretty sure asamoah would not be owned because of his physicality alone. Even if beaten, im pretty sure he will be able to track back his man and even recover the ball by hustling.

He already held himself quite well against Di Maria not too long ago ;)

Would I trust him completely? No. But then again, there are hardly any players I'd trust against the Ronaldo and Robbens of this world, and Asamoah is still pretty good.

And his weakest link which is his offensive qualities, as a left back that wold not matter since we will not need that from him so often , and he has been playing left winger for almost 2 years... he knows the basic of going forward with the ball and starting attacks. thats all what he needs. The rest is responsability of the dude in front of him.

Gio is fast but his legs and bodyframe limit him. he needs to waste much mor energy to go on par on speed with the average dude in long runs. He is good with quick runs tho.. because he can accel pretty fast

Names please, how much would they cost and are they that much better than Asamoah to send him to the bench, since in midfield he isn't going to replace any of our starting trio.

Rodriguez, like i've said before. 21, playing for Wolfsburg, Bunde fans raving about him as the current best LB in the league this season

Coentrao, wouldn't be too difficult to buy.

Criscito, looks great every time he plays for Italia alongside our backline. Playing at Zenit and would be possible.

There's 3 left backs who we could get and who would probably be better than Asamoah as a LB in a back 4.

We dont need the new roberto carlos as LB. We just need someone to cover the azz of the attacking winger and thats it. Asamoah IMO fits at that like a glove. And the best of it is that we can use that money to buy a real WC winger.

Firstly, no shit. I didn't say we should sign Rose, but rather that he made a successful transition into a LB and has been good at it (Spurs level).

Second & third, Asamoah is also used to play wide, and have on multiple games played as a LB for both Ghana and on times for Juve.
Just seems a bit pointless citing players who have not reached the level we are talking about. There are hundreds of converted wingers out there.

I don't think Asa has any real history as a wide player before Juve, he was LCM, CM and AM for Ghana and Udinese from what I've seen, and he always looked an excellent CM.

Didn't he play as a LB for Ghana last Africa Cup?
