Pussy tactics never bring you titles in Europe.
We got Tevez who hasn't scored a CL goal in 4 years!!!! but it's ok he scored one of the worst hat-tricks i have ever seen against Sassuolo so that means he is the answer to all our problems.....

Asamoah needs to be moved back to CM. We need a good left back who can also contribute to attacks. We need to stop fielding 5 defenders we have 1 less man in attack and we end up having one of our cb's in the attacking half contributing nothing when he gets on the ball.

It's important we move away from the 5-3-2 and go back to a 4 man defence with more attacking options whether it's a 4-3-3 or 4-3-2-1 or 4-3-1-2. We only have 2 attackers in the team with the current set up. None of our midfielders are attackers and our wing backs are certainly not attackers.

The whole system is to defensive, in Serie A it works because we rarely play a top team. We also have the best starting 11 so we rarely run into problems. In Europe when teams actually attack us and go for it we struggle to much. When we lose the ball the whole team drops back into our own half adding a lot of pressure on us then because nobody presses the ball high up the pitch and we just let them into our half to do all the attacking.

That bold, exciting brand of football Chelsea played certainly brought them success.
Except they were a very good counter-attacking team.Juve on the other hand plain suck at counter-attacks which is partly due to the lack of players with suitable characteristics for it.

Our wide play is non-existant because we lack quality offensively outwide in the form of supposed 'defensive wingers' in Lichtsteiner and Asamoah.

Replace them with Marcelo and Dani Alves and you'd have much better results.

Then again you would lose a lot in the defensive part. It's not really a problem with our wingbacks but rather limitation of the 352.

no because marcelona and dani alves will have to come back and defend which will inherit their attacking play. 433 with litchsteiner and Kolarov/Contrao at leftback and 2 wingers.

They knew how to defend, they knew how to counter attack and if you have a Drogba on your team no matter how you play it is not pussy tactics.

You can't counter attack with a 3-5-2 because when you are absorbing your opponent's attacks you have 5 defenders and 2 strikers up top occupying central defenders who are never out of position.

You need wide men who can get behind fullbacks in order to counter. We basically have the complete opposite of that.

You don't need to be good at counter attacking with the 3-5-2, especially with a tactical flow expert like Marchisio in your team.

Our formation is fantastic, we are just unlucky.
I still don't get it what a hell tactical flow means or what it is supposed to mean. Does that make me a member of a peasant race? :D

352 needs to go either way. In Serie A we can win with any formation but we can stick to 352 as well. In Europe it's way too unbalanced. Vialli_92 explained it pretty well. No wings, no pressure, no counter attacking threat and too many defensive players.

With a couple of adjustments (LB, RW) this team can be so much better in a well known by our players 433. I keep my fingers crossed for a comeback of this formation next season.

Red told me to stop bothering explaining, but i'll give it another try.

Tactical flow, how you guys call it is many things.

Basically, its about how your team keeps its shape and controlls the field and play in offence and defence.

How often do you see teams chasing a ball like dogs, only to get humilliated in 4 passes ?. Well, if you have a midfielder that covers behind the chasing players, and keeps the passing and running lines shut down, then they cant just pass trough it, and the pressing becomes 5x better

All the great italian teams, and there are many, allways had at least one of these players.

its why italy has allways been the team that performed the best against spain. (apart from that injury ravaged final). Spanish players just pass it and look for trough balls. But italy allways has at least one of those players, effectively shutting down spain.

Then is the offensive. Now, making forward runs and making all the flair and fancy cumshot over the field, its all nice. But what extra nice, if to have players linking up the play, without to much risk, and slotting behind players making forward runs, effectively making counters pretty hard to do.

All this is what you call, tactical flow. its the means to disrupt the gameplan of the opponent (no one does that like italians), and imposing your own gameplan.

You're indeed a member of the rapist peasant race.

We all are, except the great Zacheryah.
Rapist peasant race is just a small region.
