Ill just say this: He looked way waaaay more confortable playing on the mid where he could select where to go and had space to do so. It was plain obvious that this is better for him than to be forced to dribble past someone without much space on the wing.

The reason asamoah has been on the left for us is the following:

a) We have not purchased an adequate LWB for that role.

b) He guarantees mistake free football more than Peluso and De Ceglie do.

now, what would you rather have, a solid left flank, or an explosive left flank that leaves that left side exposed?

I've always been of the belief that once we get that starting quality LWB then Asa will be moved back to center.

Don't have one in mind. I love asamoah on the left, but if we were to find someone who was as solid as him defensively, and better at attacking we should definitely look to put Asamoah back in his natural role.

It was so nice to see him in his natural role. Great game. Love this guy

More than anything, I think Conte loves having him on the field, period. And since he doesn't want to split Pogba, Vidal and Pirlo he uses Asamoah on the left.

Kolarov sucks. Nainggolan coming would mean we could still use Asamoah out left and maybe deploy Marchisio on the right flank. Marchisio used to play wide right so why not use him wide right, guys?

Ntchwaidumela's tour de force style had him charging a raging bull elephant at a watering hole, making a habit of challenging buffalo, and harassing the pride’s most able competitors. That qualifies as leading a remarkably brave life, especially in a place where one terrible injury most often results in certain, agonizing death.
