People complain about him not being an attacking enough wing-back,
lets move him to the wing that will make it all better

New Juve trio delight Asamoah
By Football Italia staff

Kwadwo Asamoah is confident for the season ahead after Juventus brought in three big-name players this summer.

The Old Lady, winners of the last two Scudetti, have looked to strengthen by netting strikers Carlos Tevez, Fernando Llorente and defender Angelo Ogbonna.

“We’ve brought in three excellent signings and if we work well together, without ever giving in, we’ll be able to enjoy a good season,” the 25-year-old noted.

“We’ll give our all to do well in both Serie A and the Champions League, without forgetting our first target, the Italian Super Cup [against Lazio on August 18].

“We’re working hard in pre-season and it’s inevitable you’ll feel an element of fatigue, but we knew that already after last year. After all, this is precisely where our strength comes from – the hard work we put in during training.”

Asked specifically about Italian international Ogbonna following his move from Torino, the former Udinese man was full of praise.

“I already knew Ogbonna and saw many of his games last season. He’s a fine player, he’s not just good as a defender, but also intelligent with the ball at his feet.”

Asamoah was used as a left wing-back last season, but he’s unconcerned by his positioning in the new campaign.

“Where I play is decided by the Coach. I’m ready to play in any position – even in attack! I’ll do what he says. I can play in the middle or on the flank in midfield. It makes no difference to me.”

he was far from the best
I would say him and Vidal performed the best. No need for further discussions. He will not play as CM and De Ceglie will not be a starting LWB. But you dont have to be a football expert to know that Asamoah would be a hell of a lot better and more useful as a CM than he is as a LWB. He is at LWB for lack of better options and that is the only truth.

I wouldnt look to much into this cup. This is Contes time to run the bags off of these guys and this cup is more for the fun and the fans that the playesr actually wanting to win. They were tired they were lagging but come on we saw some amazing passing connections and i must say Isla is staking a claim and I really dont think hes getting sold either that or Inter are going to have to fork out more money. I think the US tour we will be better but not great, our confederations cup and u21 and u20 WC players will be back our team will be working as a whole and the performances will improve but I still expect us to be having heavy legs and short winds till the Super Cup and come week 1 I feel absolutely sorry for our opponent.
