Im interested to see how our MF shapes up without Pirlo.

Would Vidal, Marchisio and Asamoah still be able to give us the posseson and penetration we had last season to be able to dominate teams?

Pirlo played a huge part in that.

We would have to play a 4-3-3 with an offensive winger, ala Nani if we dropping Pirlo to be able to penetrate opposition defense.
It would be to defensive if we are playing Asamoah,Vidal and Marchi in a 3-5-2 formation.

But we would need someone to make those passes and be a "reference point" for our Defenders.

We dominated so much because of Pirlo slowing down the tempo of games and spreading the opposition with his cross field passing.

I just worry that our Attack could be isolated if we play 3 ball winners in MF.

Actually i was on the same page as you, but I found out that Asamoah's ball winning ability is not that good actually. Infact he does alot of pressing but it's usually Pinzi who wins the ball for Udinese.

Saw this on the net, not sure how reliable it is, but note the dribbles and passing completion. He actually have better dribbling completion compared to Nani!!!:shocked2:
