Why did we all of a sudden become so dependant on him when last season we went undefeated and he wasn't even a Juve player?
well, last season both chiellini and estigarribia were fit and present for large parts of the season. both of them helped lock that flank down. occasionally even pepe stepped in there to do some grunt work and he is missing too

Then why did we sell Estigarribia? We bought Asamoah and knew he was going to be away for the AFCON. We also know that De Ceglie is not reliable.

i don't know. could be conte thought esti was too inconsisent. could be juve's nationalistic image and DC being a home grown italian player.

i didn't like esti much to be honest, but his buy out clause was so low he was worth it. less than one 1 million euros i think?

makes you realize how crazy it is we gave him up only to go for the more expensive peluso :chan:

conte's logic :chan:

Not that funny.

We played 4-3-3 for more of the season, then went to a 3-5-2 with a defensively-solid Estigarribia mostly.

De Ceglie has poor awareness. Not just defensively, he's just not very aware. Twice yesterday I saw the ball towards his area of the pitch and he was too busy watching the opposition players to notice, so he had to chase back to get it and the move had to start again. I also don't think Caceres is particularly good in that position, so it's a weak area overall. Not just Asamoah, but Chiellini-Asamoah is rock solid.

Now it's even more funny, since the 3-5-2 is not getting results why not resort to something that worked last season? without Asamoah!

I can't wait for him to be back to make our 3-5-2 the bomb from that left wing with all his crosses to our forwards. God knows we're missing that the most.

2011-12, 22 rounds: 46 points
2012-13, 22 rounds: 49 points
Plus we had 6 important games in the cl, while napoli are only in the el this Year..the bad thing though is that we play atleast another 2 crucial cl games plus we have nearly all the big teams away... We got alot of points in the Last 10-15 rounds vs the Big Teams last year

Yesterday was maybe the last wakeup call, no way we can drop much more points.... Maybe all that drama did us good in the Long run... Atleast some passion again

Also not to mention the fact that is piece of information means nothing as last year the team that was second and had LESS points than the leader managed in the end to go and win the league, overtake the leader and clinch the title. This piece of information is exactly as useful as the two-season table that Milan created by the end of last season.

Just out of curiosity, how many points did Milan have last season after 22 rounds?
