I disagree there mate, Amauri showed he can score in one of the most difficult leagues in the world, while Huntelaar only showed he can score in the Dutch league.
Just look at Kezman, he scored 25+ goals for PSV every year, but at Chelsea, Atletico Madrid and Fenerbache, he failed.
I prefer going for a SerieA proven striker then for Huntelaar if we have can choose.
Ok Amauri he is to some extent proven in Serie A, but that doesnt mean KJH won't.
Also As Kezman failed abroad, others succeded...Van Basten, RVN,...
add to that he'll be cheaper and younger than Amauri.

Wouldn't put my money on it, mate.....
I wouldn't put on amauri either! Mind he'll be more expensive than KJH...

Meaning that he is certainly a good player. It's hard to reach such a price tag playing for a smaller club. This only tells you how good is he. Just look at what clubs are interested in him.

True, but my point is that I prefer to have a proven SerieA player instead of someone who only proved to be able to score goals in the Dutch league.
And with regard to the price tag, I doubt there will be much difference since, as said, other big teams are after Huntelaar causing the price tag to go up, and Chelsea or ManU will surely be able to outbid us bye increasing the price.

You get youth with Huntelaar. You dont get that with Amauri. Please i think Amauri wont get much better than he already has.Huntelaar probably will.So paying so much for a future investment is somewhat logical.Paying so much for Amauri is silly IMO.Despite being a good player,he isnt worth this much.

And i think ive said all ive this a few pages back:D

youth, he is already 25. If you want youth, maybe we can better gor for Rossi.

Trez already proved himeself in cl and in the French league, which I rate higher then the Dutch league.

I am not saying he won't make it, but I think we can spent or 15-20MEuro better then on Huntelaar, if he would have been 10-12 MEuro, then I'd say take the risk, but Ajax isn't in need for cash and there are probably many teams interested in Huntelaar so if we get him, he will be too expensive.

I think all this gossip about amauri (being followed by teams like barca, milan ......) is just fake. Its obvious that palermo want to sell the guy next summer, So their president is creating all this atmosphere around him to rise his price nothing more. The guy is 28 he's good but i wouldn't call him a big talent. Milan spent 22 million euros on a big talent (pato) and he's 18, bitter if we spend 18-20 million euros on younger more talented forwards that can be usefull in many years to come........

Klaas act for Ferguson
Manchester United are ready to agree a deal with Ajax to bring striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar to the Premier League. Sir Alex Ferguson is putting together a package which would be worth around £15million and would see a cash sum plus Chinese forward Dong and young striker Danny Welbeck heading in the opposite direction.
