Kezman was an excellent finisher.I think he made the wrong choice in moving to Chelsea. The pace of the EPL effectivley killed him off.Huntelaar has an incredible goal scoring record, even if its only in the eredivise. His team mate Sneijder came up from the same supposedly inferior league, and so did Robben.Where are they now?Sneijder is winning Madrid games on his own and Robben is arguably the best winger in the world. The fact that the dutch league is inferior to the other leagues does not bother me at all.I wouldnt think twice before taking a chance on Huntelaar. As far as im concerned,Ajax produces the best young talent in europe.
you got me wrong...i didnt mean to say that he wont succeed..all i'm saying is you cant judge a player on his record..you have to watch him first..the guys reputation here suggests he's the answer to all juves problems...i dont know he might be...but people should watch games before they make assesments on players.

Fair enough.I thought you were suggesting that he isnt good.

Do we really need Huntelaar?
We dont need him.We want him.

Dutch international forward eyes foreign move

Ajax striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has admitted he is ready to quit the club for a move abroad at the end of the season.

The 24-year-old Dutch international is one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe, and says he is now looking to test himself in a foreign league.

"I feel ready for a new experience abroad," he told the Dutch press.

"At the end of the season, I'll leave."

Huntelaar has been linked with many major European clubs including Manchester United, Arsenal and Real Madrid, but Juventus are understood to be leading the chase and the Italian press have claimed that an agreement is already in place for the forward to move next summer.

He is good in the Dutch league, but he hasn't been able to show himself in CL or for the Dutch NT.
I prefer to keep Trez over Huntelaar.
Also, Dutch media suggest that, now with Ten Cate joining Chelsea they have the intention to bring Rijkaard to Chelsea next summer and will make an offer for Huntelaar in January.

Like I said several times, Huntelaar will go to an EPL team.

Huntelaar, at this point in time, would be a unnecessary luxury and risk for us. We got Trezeguet, currently top scorer in Serie, who can play top football for at least 2 more years, we have currently the most goals scored in Serie A. Attack is fine as it is. Those 15mil we would spent on him can be spent more wisely on defense and midfield. When Trez is 32/33 then we can buy a replacement for him, one which Trez can tutor for a season and then give up his spot to.

If we buy Huntelaar now we would need to sell Trez which would not only be a shame after all he's done but also it very well may not be a smart move. Huntelaar can very easily be a flop and Trez is one of the world's best.

Like Dominic said, Huntelaar is a poor man's Trezeguet. :D

Even if we miss the boat on Huntelaar doesnt mean its worlds end, with Trez easily keeping up this form for another 2 season its not a problem like what we got in the defense. Plus Mario Gomez and Benzema are much better than Huntelaar i belive.

Dominic thought that Italy would not win the wordlcup. He also predicted that Roma would reach the CL final last year:D
It is true though, Huntelaar ain´t by any means better than Trezegol. He is good, very good. He has a good nose for the goal, he is young and can improve at a bigger club. But the problem is, how can we have 2 Trezegol´s at 1 club? If only Trezeguet was a bit older, I wouldn´t hesitate to bring Huntelaar immediately. But buying him with the current situation would harm either Trezegol or Hunter.

That is correct. Talents like Huntelaar are hard to find but in 2 years time maybe we will see the rise of a new star.....

Yeah, I agree with some of these comments. I know Hunterlaar is only a dream, bc the money would be wasted for a striker we don't need, unless of course we play with a 4-3-3 formation. I would prefer to see the money invested on the defense and midfield. Bring in Barzagli and Mascherano.

Why don't we buy him and loan him out straight?! then when Trezegol nears his end, we bring him back :D

And may be NOT.

If you truly believe that, then you're ignorant. In terms of talent they might be, but Huntelaar is thousand times more proven than Benzema and Gomez together. Let's compare them in terms of a striker's main purpose, scoring goals:

Career statistics:

Huntelaar 138 goals in 192 appearances. (Goalratio: 0,718 goals per match) Age: 24

Mario Gomez 24 goals in 70 appearances. (Goalratio: 0,343) Age: 22 (2 years younger than Huntelaar)

Benzema 16 goals in 50 appearances. (Goalratio: 0,32) Age: 19 (5 years younger than Huntelaar)

Huntelaar was also chosen Player of the Tournament and Golden Boot winner at the EC under 21 in 2006.
