We are officially chasing Huntelaar´s signature. It also says that he is an imminent transfer objective for the summer and that Juventus like him very much. Huntelaar has already declared he will leave Ajax in the summer. Huntelaar likes Juventus. Cobolli Gigli said: Yes, we are following Huntelaar.

That´s about it. Short but understandable resume.

Official: Juventus Negotiating With Ajax For Huntelaar

Juventus President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli has revealed that the club are negotiating a deal to bring Ajax striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar to the club.

The 24-year-old signed for Ajax from Heerenveen in 2005 and he has since hit 76 goals in just 94 games.

The prolific hitman has been in brilliant form this campaign scoring 13 goals in as many matches in the Eredivisie.

Huntelaar has already made it known that he will be leaving Amsterdam at the end of the current season in order to move abroad, and it now seems that his destination will be Turin.

“Yes, we are negotiating a deal for Huntelaar of Ajax,” Cobolli Gigli told the Corriere dello Sport today.

Juventus have long been admirers of Huntelaar, and were linked with a move for him before the outbreak of the Calciopoli crisis in 2006.

They were also set to make a firm bid for him this summer when David Trezeguet threatened to leave the club. However the Frenchman signed a new contract and the idea was scrapped.

Given Huntelaar’s similarity to Trezeguet, it seems likely that Juventus consider the Dutchman as a long-term replacement for the current Serie A top-scorer.

Huntelaar, who has had limited chances in the Dutch national team under Marco Van Basten, will not move to Turin until the summer if negotiations are successful.

:p

Anyway it will be hard to sign Hunter since all major clubs are linked with him so it would be good if that lazzy Secco get his ass to sign some kind of pre contract with him.
They probably saw this post...

First I thought that we reall don't need Huntelaar, but than again if we are going to play CL than we definitly gonna need another forward and Hunter can be good replacement for Trez cuz we don't have another goalscorer like Trez.

they have Cobolli's quotes but f*ck do I hate it when we publicly declare interest in a player. Frings, Milito...

Juts shut the f*ck up and do the deal without the whole world knowing it. They better have that option ready and use it. If not then his value will just go up and Klass will end up in England.
