I feel like I may have discredited Coman a bit too much, he is a still raw but for a 19 yr old he is pretty close to the real deal. If he has the potential I think he has he can be a perfect Robbery replacement in every way. He has natural born speed and quickness a world class winger NEEDS. But like the Shaqiri scenario it reminds us that these things are too unpredictable and best to watch and wait but this is a forum so I look forward to read knee jerk reactions

Coman is miles ahead of Shaqiri in terms of football intelligence.
Guardiola would never play him so much if he wasn't.
Those two players are not even comparable.

I'm not comparing there skills but more like there situation, both at this time looked like great prospects and potential heirs to the Robbery "throne" but Shaqiri never lived up to the potential Bayern thought he had is the difference but Coman is up for debate..

Pep spoke very highly of him tonight named him as one of two players who have really improved the team. Looks like he will fit into the team long term.

Ya but Pep is leaving end of this season. So another new coach next season a different story, its a 2 year loan deal anyway.

There are a lot of cases were a player just doesnt play well at a certain club it doesnt make them any less of a talent and in most cases it is of no fault of the clubs either.

Quick examples are Cuadrado at Chelsea, Sneijder at Madrid, Robben at Madrid, Zlatan at Barcelona.

When Coman was here i didnt see anything that blew me away but i do know that theres a chance he will be great at Bayern and mayhe better than he ever would of been with us. Loaning him was the right thing to do but with an option to buy was a mistake especially a two year loan. Could we of loaned him to a smaller cub to see how he developes before deciding what to do with him? or did our managment already feel that he wasnt going to be worth more than 28m? because i dont feel like we were forced to give them an option. The strange thing for me is that when we have players like Coman and Giovinco we dont use formations to suit them or play them in their natural positions but when they leave we play formstioms that are crying out for players with their attributes.

Days after offloading him, we starting playing the scheme that really fits him, for the first time since he got here.

That was retarded as hell from Marotta.

So you're saying that Marotta is acting like Berlusconi and telling coach Allegri what formation to play? :confused2

I'm saying that opposed to what I thought, and to what Allegri and Marotta have puclicly said, he doesn't really take Allegri's needs as a priority when deciding what players to sign.

Another evidence of this is the fact that Allegri has said many times that Dybala is a prima punta.

Basically Marotta bought 3 players for the same position - CF - in Allegri's point of view, being Mandzukic, Dybala, Zaza, spending potentially 79M on these guys - for the same position. Which is nuts, when we have a glaring need for a SS and/or AM. And worst, when we already have Morata, who should be a fixed starter for the team, already one of the best CFs in the world, with clear potential to be the best CF in the world in a few years.
