After all those... "hot dogs" Pamela has... "swallowed",
i understand her need to become vegetarian, well, for a while at least...

Chicken cruelty?? Those chicks were born and with the sole purpose of becoming our food. We are so many and we need so many of those, that we wouldnt be able to cope without them otherwise.
I dont think that KFC has anything to do with those brats stepping and throwing chicks on the walls. Arrest them if you like, but i dont think that they were paid from KFC to do that. KFC's only concern is the profit and achieve that, they need to optimize their production.

The real threat and our actual concern is those chick's food and the affects it has on them and on us!! Isolated incidents and chick cruelty are a luxury our society is not ready to support yet. We are unable to protect the consumers, let alone the comfort life of their food...

I dont know if this campaign is aiming to divert attention from the real problem,
or is just a Mcdonalds con, but c mon, we know that Snoop wouldnt fell for it.
He is too tough, to be touched by that.
The ones responsible for his poisoning are def not the ones who were beating those chicks. But the ones responsible for this poisoning should be the ones targeted by this campaign!!

PS: missed you snoop, where have you been?

I like the way free range chickens taste better anyway. I have more problems with the way the chicken waste (poop) is handled than I do the way they kill the chickens. After all wouldn't it be more cruel to eat the chicken while it was alive?

KFC suppliers cram birds into huge waste-filled factories, breed and drug them to grow so large that they can’t even walk, and often break their wings and legs. At slaughter, the birds’ throats are slit and they are dropped into tanks of scalding-hot water—often while they are still conscious. It would be illegal for KFC to abuse dogs, cats, pigs, or cows in these ways.

KFC’s own animal welfare advisors have asked the company to take steps to eliminate these abuses, but KFC refuses to do so. Many advisors have now resigned in frustration.

Please join Pamela Anderson, Sir Paul McCartney, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, The Rev. Al Sharpton, and countless other kind people worldwide by not eating at KFC.

Dude, this is redundant. Last year we outlawed this practice in the state of California:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proposition_2

Because the problem isn't just KFC. As Burke says:

Why does this surprise anyone?

You should see the beef market.
Exactly. Pretty much most of what people eat for a relatively inexpensive cost is built upon countless horrors of shortcuts and tradeoffs of cleanliness, petroleum use, animal cruelty, hormone injections, and every other factory-farmed production of cheap food.

Unfortunately as it is today, the best way to avoid that is to spend a little more money on what you eat. That doesn't go down well with many people -- let alone can some people afford to. But when you buy super-cheap, factory-processed food, that is the hidden cost.

True story: KFC was originally supposed to start out as KFP. However, Col. Sanders quickly realized that Kentucky Fried Possum was not as big a hit once you got over state lines.

It would be KFO then, chief.

opossum |(ə)ˈpäsəm|
noun

an American marsupial that has a ratlike prehensile tail and hind feet with an opposable thumb.

• Family Didelphidae: several genera and numerous species, in particular the cat-sized common opossum ( Didelphis marsupialis) of North, Central, and South America, which in North America was formerly known as the Virginia opossum and was considered a distinct species ( D. virginiana).

Fell for what? I don't give a fuck if it is a campaign for other purposes, but I don't eat from a company like this for two reasons: health and animal rights! You might say I support animal rights and eat at the same time, but that's not what I support. What I am concerned is that animals shouldn't get tortured or abused, if you watched the clip and if your blood didn't boil like mine when the chickens were suffering to death, then there is no way for you to understand this subject.

"Chickens are created to become a food for us"? That's not the subject at all, if you read the website or if you listened to the video, you would understand the problem exactly. They are not telling you to not eat animals, but to treat animals better, to care about them. There are much better ways to "prepare" them, this way is sooo wrong and disgusting.

PS: Good to see you too.

Dude, Kentuckians don't say "Opossum" anymore than Missourians say, "Mih-zuhr-REE".

The thing is if I made the same food home, it wouldn't even cost half of it, and it is much much healtier. But I understand what you say.

Problem is you're right: it doesn't have to cost more. But all the financial incentives in the industry have been put into all kinds of food abuses.

    There's only one KFC:

And this thread reminded how long it is since I had any fast food. I think I've only had one McDonalds this year. Can't remember the last time I had a KFC.
