I’m still a bit on the fence on this as in i’d say he was the most preferred candidate for it and i absolutely believe in his potential but can’t help but think he was awarded a bit soon based on too small of a sample size, too many expectations around a player that is still developing might be a bit unrealistic now, anyway just hope it will motivate him to become better and will not only burden him with additional pressure.

Do you people just complain or troll about anything? He was on youth contract level salary wise, and now he is a starter. 2m a year for a starter is quite cheap for big club.

nice

now let's see the del piero numbers and performances too. just for the record, he has 2 league goals so far, plus 2 in the coppa during the hammering of frosinone and salernitana. the number 10 seems premature, the wage bump is all right, not excessive. i am really rooting for him for the good of the club, but besides the excellent few matches right after his debut, i'm more hopeful than impressed

It's not a right decision IMO.
You can't find a club in professional level that give their most valuable number to a primavera unproven talent, pogba got it after two brilliant seasons and he won the Golden Boy award in 2013 and was named to the 2015 UEFA Team of the Year and he nominated for 2015 FIFA Ballon d'Or. We gave it to Dybala after spending 5 years here and he had macnificent career with 82 goals.

with nice i meant i really like how big of an adp fan yildiz is. i'm really rooting for him. people like fairytales and if he succeeded at juve it really would be one.

as for the number 10 i already said a few times that i thought it was premature and undeserved. he has 2 league goals. that's nothing. he is yet to earn such a jersey. but it's the state of the club, this is just an other random decision. nothing against yildiz personally

Dybala was great before the number 10, then for me the pressure got to him and in the first season I believe which was 2018/19 he sucked hard, got better at times but it's been up and down. I just think the number 10 is heavy, and not many go from strength to strength in wearing it.
That’s false. Dybala’s best season (numbers wise - 22 goals in the league) was his first year with the number 10.

And in 18-19 he didn’t suck hard, he just had to play second fiddle to Ronaldo. I think Dybala’s trajectory would’ve been very different if we hadn’t brought Ronaldo in 2018

Its just a fucking number guys, which was not occuppied. He fits the no 10 role the best in our team and probably is good marketing material, that's why he got it. He still has to proven a lot though and will be expected to score much more.

Real Madrid didn’t give Joselu the number 9 just cuz. We need to respect our numbers, even if we don’t have a chance of living up to any of the numbers in our current meme state.
