it doesn't make him a top player. And btw I don't think Insigne is a top player also.
Hamsik it's a perfect example of player who is very good for a good team, but won't make it in the great team.
well then we just feel different, I thinks the guys I listed are easily among the best in league in their positions, for me it's enough to know they're top level players many teams would love to have

I know people keep laughing and underrating our opposition in Serie A, but I really like the approach Napoli are taking, especially with regards to keeping their best players. I think, when eventually and inevitably we relinquish our Serie A crown, they will be ready to pounce.
Just so happens that Napoli's probable two best players have extremely strong ties to the club. Everyone else would probably swim to play for a genuine big boy. Talk is cheap, and ADL has already shown that he will sell for absolute top dollar if an offers comes in, but not for less.

oh, yeah, no doubt about it. But it doesn't make them "top players" by default. If on the other hand, there is another category like "world class" for example, than Hysaj and Koulibali are the only Napoli players who cut it, Mertens is borderline imo. It's all semantics though.

You serious?
Better than all we have in midfield at the moment, except for maybe Pjanic. Class player.
Better at what? His defensive contribution is minimum and as AM he is a solid tier two player. While tier one are guys like Isco etc. He is a jack of all trades, but master of none. I would take Claudio every day over him.

How is that an argument in our discussion that bar Juve all the stadia are shit? Keita can choose between us, Napoli and Inter while we have our own beautiful stadium.

What does it mean to be capable of holding team's top players? Napoli cannot offer neither top salaries nor being a constant contender for the trophies. All they can do is imprisoning their players. They make it ugly every time there is a talk about a player leaving, vide Insigne, Higuain, Coulibaly etc. Another strong argument against Napoli is that they fvck their players over image rights.

On Lazio's defence from the other hand, they have the ability to buy players with very big potential for cheap. Something that Napoli doesn't have.
I'm not including us in this topic, I might be wrong, but I don't think we're gonna sign him. Dunno why, but I don't see where would we even play him. I'm not saying he should go to Napoli because they are better than us, but because he'd get to play more there.

I honestly have no idea what are you talking about. Lazio haven't done shit over the past 10 years and if they were buying big potential for cheap they'd surely do better than in the previous season. Napoli is way better.

2016-2017: Napoli 3rd, Lazio 5th
2015-2016: Napoli 2nd, Lazio 8th
2014-2015: Lazio 2nd, Napoli 5th
2013-2014: Napoli 3rd, Lazio 9th
2012-2013: Napoli 2nd, Lazio 7th

And no, Lazio's transfers were mediocre over the past 5 years while Napoli had very good moves.

Agreed Napoli has been much better than Lazio lately. Still, I think we're a much better option for Keita than Azzurri. We cannot rely on Pjaca this season therefore I think we would find Keita useful considering his qualities and ability to perform at various positions in our main setup.

We are holding the cards here. We don't need him. He is what Marotta would call an "opportunity". I rate our chances at roughly 30% we can clinch a deal just under 20m assuming Keita shows no intention of budging from his current stance and insisting on Juventus. If it doesn't happen, easy, we are loaded with good attacking options and maybe get him next year for ZERO.
