You are correct in the dividend in his price, but the official price is 21-22m, Milan paid it and thats how much they stated they paid for him. Doesnt matter how they divide between the club and agent, its what they had to pay for him.

Agreed in general regarding Benzema, but IMO you are underestimating Inter and Milan, Milan probably wont due his age and think Pato is gamble enough, but they can go for him. Inter for sure are able to and despite having many strikers, they might buy him if Crespo isnt renewed and Adriano is sold. But most likely Benzema goes to Real, if they dont get Villa that is.

Btw never say they would pay that much(35m) for a 20 year old despite his talent ;) Two of the best players in the world, Messi and Cesc are that age and both of the Milano clubs would pay double that to get them ;) (we would try to rob our Fiat reserve get owned by the army of accountants).
Yeah, Osman, i know that Milan, Inter, even Juve have 35m eur and perhaps they can splash these money on one player, but just follow what's happening with the mercato in Italy after that infamous 2001/02 and 2002/03 mercatos when everyone went crazy and when teams like Parma and Lazio were practically destroyed.

Since the summer of 2002 the highest price an Italian club payed for a football player is ~25m eur payed by Milan and Inter for Gilardino and Ibrahimovic. Not more than 5 players were bought for more than 20m eur in the last 5 years. Only during one summer transfer window 5 players more expensive than 20m eur are being bought by Chelsea :D
I agree that it's not impossible and Milan or Inter may buy Benzema but my opionion is that only for someone like Ronaldinho, Kaka, Ibrahimovic, Messi or Eto'o, Italians will be willing to pay +30m euro

As for Benzema, i absolutely agree that a risk should be taken with this kid. But Juve are really not in a position to pay the 35m € asked by Lyon.
And Milan also aren't the team that will pay these money.
Actually, if you observed the Italian mercato and how Italians react in the market in last years, you'll see that no team, not even Inter, is powerful enough to compete with the Spanish and English giants financially. The most expensive player bought in the summer was Chivu whose cost was 16m €. Average teams from England and Spain payed bigger money than 16m €.
Italians never overpayed for a youngster and they won't do such a thing with Benzema.
I agree 35M is just too much, and after paying 22M for Pato..Milan would definitely not overpay for another young striker..But my point was, you have to take risks on young players, not for 35M but the idea of taking risks on talented youngsters doesnt seem to go well with a lot of members in this forum..they have this idea that when you buy..you have to buy proven.

I just love it when a player declare how he is a die heart Barcelona fan, never missed a Liverpool game since he was 3 years old, adore German football and B.Munich in specific, and :melayyanandmessi: each time he wake up to see Del Piero's poster above his bed.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread but I did this to take the heat away from Ranieri :p

Benzema extinguished the dreams of Ferguson: 'The English game is not for me'

19:54, March 02

England? No thanks. The star of Lyon Karim Benzema extinguished the dreams of Sir Alex Ferguson. "I was approached to Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juve and now Manchester United. Am sure that I would be able to play in Premier but I think that my style of play is more suited to the Spanish or Italian league." "My current contract expires in 2012 but I think I will be sold later. President of Lyon insists that are not for sale and that my cost is 90 million euros. 'Unbelievable.

Benzema is a great player but I think he is overpriced as well
We should put our money on Aguero
He might be very expensive but I couldn`t say he is overpriced

hes worth it though. aguero is one of those players that you can have only one of them in your team and most likely the league. hes amazing.

He could be the next big thing
I can`t remember the last time I have seen a forward at his level and he is very young and just going to improve!
I think he has the potential to be one of the top forwards of all time (he is great, he is not at this level yet but has the potential)
We have the money and we should spend it on him!
I just hope Secco would wake up and understand it
I guess we are going to have 40M for next season and maybe even more if we qualify for the CL
well Aguero is going to cost that 40M
Tiago and Almiron could leave which we get 18M from
We could sell some other players like Paro and Marchisio (altough we might should give them a chance) and many others and earn more
lets say another 10-15M
well with 15M we could get a very good defender and with another 15M we could get a very good midfielder

that`s ofcourse if we are going to have 40M
if we get more then we could even spend it on a better midfielder and be ready to who knows maybe even win the CL
Aguero Trez\DP
Giovinco
Nedved Sissoko Camoranesi
Chiellini NEW CB Andrade Zebina
Buffon

We could swap with Giovinco and Nedved or DP with Giovinco...
We could have many options
and that is without that new midfielder...
If we get a new midfielder our mid could even look better

Benzema is by far the best player in Ligue this season though, he is not only the top goalscorer, he's also second in the assist table.

Can somebody who actually reguragly watches and has a good understanding of Lique 1 tell me how Nasri is coming along? Oh and please dont mention the word "zidane" in your post

Nasri is having a bad season till now, he's been much better in the past 3-4 weeks. but overall his season hasnt been top notch. Mainly because of injuries though, he's been plagued by injuires all season. Marseilles best offensive player this season has been Valbuena, even when Nasri plays, Valbuena is the one that steals the limelight.

the comparison between Nasri and Zidane is mostly because of their similar background, both are French Algerian, add to that their similar playing styles, but Nasri is nowhere near having Zidanes ability imo.

thanks.. Thats dissapointing, at the end of last season he was carving it up so much he made me actually watch some Lique 1 and the couple times i saw him play i thought he was absolutely outstanding! Especially liked his corner that was like 1cm from going into the back of the net

If Chelsea and Real Madrid stay out of it, i doubt they'd sell him at that price, they said they will only sell Diarra for 38M but they ended up selling him for 26M.
