My thought for the moment. The competition on every spot will be very close this season, Serie A teams are not like before, they become weaker, the league is much weaker than before. Last season Inter won it, because of other teams' penalties and Milan's failure in Serie A. This year it is still the same but without penalties, Milan will get better and come back to the race, Juventus doesn't have the squad to make wonders, but if we win almost all of the small matches, and not lose against big teams just like it happened so far, I don't see any reason for not winning it. We know Inter is Inter, with having all these advantages and that huge squad, they are still making mistakes after other, that's because of the weak characteristic of their, If teams like Roma, Milan, Palermo, Fiorentina and the likes steal points from Inter or of our other rivals, and if we win mostly against those bigger teams, we can win the title. My vote goes to the second option.

Juve will compete only for top 4 since i dont think that juve have the needed players to win the schudetto this year.

I think we will end 2nd or 3rd. Inter is too good for us this season. And like I said before, I think they will crash out of the Champions League sooner than they think and kill off the Scudetto race.

Top 4 & this could actually mean we win also :) All depends on how Camonaresi turns up, Palladino improves his passing plus crosses, no injuries at the back and most importantly energy levels. For the Inter we had plenty of energy & drive. We will need a lot of that this season to cover our deficiency in skill.

I thought prior to season starting that UEFA Cup would be ok, now, having seen us draw with Roma & Inter I think top 4 is realistic. No more than that yet, I fear.

I will like to see Juve and inter fight it out in the last day ... juz like wat happen few years back... as Inter crumble 4-2 to Lazio and Juve take the title.

That will be sweet and confirm inter as imitators to the Serie A title

Right now a solid top four finish is a realistic option. Personally I see Inter finishing top by some margin, ie the first runners'up will be in it for the automatic CL qualification and not actually contend for the title per se. Fiorentina lack the experience at this level to sustain any sort of challenge past Christmas I suspect and Roma are a weaker team compared to last year, even if they're still playing well. A resurgent Milan could make a 4th placed finish difficult but that being said there's no reason we can't put up a good fight for it.

Truth be told though, from what I've seen of Juve this season our position in the table flatters us. We look pedestrian against the most ordinary of sides and if it were not for Buffon we'd be looking at 6th place at best in my view.

I think we stay among the top four pack all season. We have been lucky but we were making results and this does not mean luck will get worn out, it is the players who are making the luck. Taking a CL spot for me is something the team can do with the effort they are making, they might even do better and fight for a runner-up as I don't see any competition against Inter, their squad is complete.

To compare us with other teams, Roma are not ruthless and can end up in periods of really bad results.

Milan is a team that will bounce back but the good thing is their CL campaign, they always go far and this will affect their league performance.

Finally there is Fiorentina who are by far the luckiest team so far. I can see them as a team whose luck will get worn out.

Agreed on all points Jack, especially on Fiorentina, they're the one who'll most likey in the end fade away. They did it so many times already. I'm really not too concerned about the top 4 finish anymore, even though I was sceptical at the start of the season.

IMO this will be the most likely table at the end:
    1. Inter
    2. Roma
    3. Juventus
    4. Milan

BTW, you forgot to mention Milan doing good in the CL will ultimatelly help us as well.
