Agree with Rivkenbacker2 here, Milan are weak at this point. Who cares if they have Sheva, Pippo, Tommason, Rivaldo, Rui Costa and Pirlo? They can only play three of them the time, one playmaker behind two strikers for instance.

So that a team should be good enough to compete for the Serie A title, it has to at least be confident in defence and strong in attack. There must be a strong mentality and winning spirit in the team, and the team should have many good back-up players if some of the main players would get injured or if the team should try another formation. Milan may be strong offencive, having many players at their disposal, but what about the other things?

i really cannot see milan going higher than fourth and roma is way too low.
Nah, roma will finally break down this year, they don't have the team.

Juventus transfer guru Luciano Moggi admits that it is Roma he fears the most in the Scudetto chase.

When asked if he feared Inter or Milan more, the director general’s view was balanced.

“With Fabio Cannavaro the Nerazzurri really have strengthened their side,” he confessed. “On the other hand Milan made a great buy with Rivaldo. They will be two dangerous adversaries.”

However, the title holders see another hidden peril in the Peninsula.

“Watch out for Roma. Fabio Capello has a truly strong side at his disposal.”

The Giallorossi’s pre-season performances are quoted as the main reason Juve will not sell Edgar Davids to the Stadio Olimpico side.

Roma have again confirmed their interest in the Dutch midfielder, but Moggi ruled out any such move.

“We have no intention of reinforcing another contender for the Scudetto. Davids is not for sale.”
