CR7 can do whatever he wants in Serie A as long as he does his job when it matters - in CL. He showed the same mediocre level in Madrid during the first half of the season, it's no different here. Just wait.
Has he done his job in the CL thus far here?

Last year he dominated the CL group stage for Madrid, while having his terrible start in the league.

This year he's had a pretty damn good start to Serie A, especially when adding assists to the equation, but has done very little in CL group stage.

Good half, just a bit slack at times at the back and in front of goal.

Alex Sandro and De Sciglio have been great.

Pjanic has been more adventurous and played some good passes. Bentancur having another good game apart from a very poor give away on the edge of our area. I've lost count of the amount of times he's won the ball back

He had 4 goals in his first 14 league games last year at Madrid. So he's been far better here than that to start the year. But hopefully his slow start last year too is indicative that his finishing and game play is going to take a massive leap come the important part of the year and start destroying every opponent.
True, but worries me is besides crossing/positioning, his bread and butter in Real was getting very open looks in counter attacks, he too deadly at them. But with us, we barely counter, and he rarely gets fed on the run with defenders scrambling to recover.

We too busy with slow passing around til we cross, to play any actual through balls, high or low, and not enough players centrally who can beat a man and make that pass on transition.

This is why I badly want Pogba back. I had enough of this experiment of Mautidi being the most active CM on attack, and the one trying to combine the most with Cristiano.

In ideal world Costa would be on form and be the player to unlock space and feed Cristiano more often.

Also we are so different from Real that Cristiano needs to become more accustomed to playing as CF sometimes instead of insisting on the wing.

Lol crowd noise, they don't everything to kill the football atmosphere in that stadium
That’s true.

The atmosphere was so much better back in 2012-14ish. Once all the BS happened with the Ndrangheta and certain ultras they’ve clamped down massively.

Still doesn’t excuse them to play cheesy rock tunes at every opportunity.

Would actually like to see Bernadeschi find the form he started the season with. He combined best with Ronaldo by far to start the season. His brief injury really was a setback for him.

That's why I would be curious to see him as a CAM behind Ronaldo-Mandzu/Dybala. I think he suits the CAM position better than Costa (who is a far superior winger to Berna). 4-3-1-2 or even 4-2-1-3 with Berna playing in the hole would be interesting for getting us creating through the middle. The latter is tough because Pjanic doesn't really suit that mid 2. If we had someone like Saul Niguez, would be amazing imo.

He played only 4 games on the CL group stage, scored a stunning goal against MU. Could've done better, but still not bad, given the circumstances (one of which is that he's at the new club and his movement is still not completely in sync with the rest of guys). Don't see anything disturbing so far.

Agree with you for sure. I'm not worried, but I do expect a leap in his conversion rate and focus come February.
