Very good half imo. If we can put in Marchisio ASAP I think we can reduce the constant turnovers. We might not be creating anything anymore but Nipples fear our counter attacks now and are playing slower and safer, we may not be touching the ball but Nipples are not creating a thing playing this way

I would also like to see AS in for Asamoah. At least he can pass a football.

Wow it is crazy to see how bad our midfield has degraded. Other than matuidi, we offer absolutely no bite, losing so much 50-50s. I'm sure mandzukic will do a better job than khedira in midfield.

Our fullbacks are non-existent too. Di sciglio is invisible and asamoah only stands out due to his skin color. Brain: black player doing well on the left...that's matuidi. Black player doing crap on the left...that's asa

He's the most pumped up vs them lol. Totally diff body language. Only top team he's like this against.

Opponents adapt to your approach and close down Dybala, Costa or Gonzalo in transition moments. Plus they not pressuring with everyone as they did first 25 minutes, that allowed us to bypass the initial pressure by Dybala or Costa coming down and dribbling 2 players, then open field due to sloppy defending. Now Napoli playing more slowly and careful possesion game.

The back passing is part of a tactic of an effort to bait them, open them up, lure them in and make them vulnerable on counter attacks, we had a few chances, one of them even produced a goal. The drawback is that it is risky, i am not sure we have another option though, we cannot compete with their midfield, unless...

Dybala'a pass was awesome but he was selfish at the second chance.Alegri MUST sub Khedira with Marchisio ,maybe Asamoah with Sandro.Pjanic must release the ball more quickly.

Good first half. Loved Higy's goal.

Starting with a new formation in the hardest match of the season isn't the best idea. Players need to learn each other's pattern.
We should have started with this formation way sooner to avoid making too many wrong passes.

Hope for the better second half from our boys.

Honestly think Khedira has had a good game.

He won the ball back a few times and has been tactically very disciplined/switched on. Prime example was early on when they almost played Hamsik in 1v1 but he read the situation, got in front of him and the ball went though to De Sciglio to roll out of play.

Hope this does not finish with a second half collapse and after that Max will be happy because we won the first half. Need to slot in the second goal asap to kill the game!
