What is the point of playing 3 defenders in a game like this?

I think it kind of makes sense tbh. It wont be entertaining to watch but it is a cautious approach because the team is quite obviously very low on confidence and has crumbled whenever conceding this season. I think we're trying to avoid that early goal we've conceded so many times this season.

We're eeking out a win at home to Crotone sure but i'm confident we will get the 3 points and it might not be worst idea to just get a win here and work on rebuilding some self belief
