Exactly, it means nothing. He's just a striker having an Indian summer in a team focused on feeding him.

It happens in Italy more than other leagues, just the nature of the football style mixed with professionalism.

I wonder if people would still be calling this a shit league if Tevez had won the scoring title

Messi would find it harder to score in Italy...yea right like grandpa Toni does
Messi would find it harder to score in Italy. Teams play far more defensively in Italy, and more in control. Messi would still dominate Serie A, but he wouldn't score anywhere near the numbers he scores in La Liga. It has nothing to do with strength of league. More so the style of play.

Players like Toni score so many because they are dominant in the air, and in a league that plays slowly, tactically, and defensively... teams that focus on a tall, strong, aerially superior CF like Toni can create a pretty darn good goalscorer just by the sheer number of crosses they put in his direction.

Mid-table and relegation sides in Italy park the bus far more than their counterparts in Spain. It's harder to score against that trying to dribble through an entire team. He'd score a lot, but not like in Spain.
