From the angle I saw, Llorente did head it, he just missed.

I'll give you that he played a part in the goal but Licht made the cut, Licht made the pass that went passed two defender for somebody/anybody to get on and Tevez put it away.

And I don't expect Llorente to be some diabolical finishing machine. I just want him to finish what's there for him. Tonight, with that header, he's 0/1 and he's been "0 for" for every game so far. He can draw as many defenders as he wants but if he continues to draw defenders and go 0-for then he's going to draw defenders straight to the bench when Morata hits 90%+ fitness. Just saying we're not paying him to draw defenders...
His finishing is not a strength for sure. It's passable, not elite or anything.

I will say if there's one criticism for Llorente it's his attacking positioning. He doesn't do a great job of presenting himself well for crosses or cut backs. He's a bit lazy and too central at times.

Everything else in build up play, I can't ask any more of him. He has been superb there so far this year. Overall, he hasn't been bad, and yes Morata should play more, but I think Llorente has been a positive for us so far this year.

I agree his build up play is actually really good. But he's getting paid quite a lot and that pay needs goals. I'll be happy when he finds he confidence and is hitting those types of chances. Imagine him on his game and Tevez running rampant like he has been recently. Very exciting combo up top!

Surely they will come. He put in quite a few last year.

Few are as good as Llorente in holding up the ball, he contributes quite well to the build up play. But i agree that he seems more interested in doing those little flicks of his than actually trying to get in positions where he can score.

This match is still all action after the break. This pace needs to slow down so we don't burn out before the midweek match with A. Madrid.
