I dont want to bitch about the 3-5-2 but Its partly the lineup, our players are so high up, that you might as well put on more offensive players to be in these attacking positions. Caceres is just outside their box on the right side making passes like he is a viable creator in the build up, but botches it. Licht is a natural right back, who is in the box too much, and cant be relied on in the final action there with the finish as often as he is in there etc. Asamoah even worse because he is in final attacking position too much, his dribbling, shooting or technique is extremely raw and all over the place.

If we are pushing that high up, might aswell but on a player or two with more attacking ability, no? Too many all around players who's main asset arent the final part of the game but the physical and defensive part. Its about the formation when the match type its so far doesnt really need some of these players lacking creativity or attacking finess, because Malmö like never attack to begin with, but whats keeping these players on the pitch is exactly because they fit the formation we are using. Its time to change and put on players who can be used in creative or finishing sense in the final third, instead of relying on players who arent suited for being that high up in positions.

I hope we turn up for the 2nd half as the 1st is simply not good enough!
There is no movement from our team except from that Licht run that ended with a poor pass
I think Asamoah is really under performing while we also need a more mobile forward
Morata should be considered before Coman due to experience in CL but Coman is not such a bad choice should he be the one chosen to be subbed in

Malmo is playing a really compact 5 man line. I don't know if crossing is a great idea. They are giving tons of space at the top of the box. It would be wise to remove Bonucci for an attacker to fit into that area at the top of the box. Morata or Coman please.

It's also the same old side to side crap since the wingers can't cross and run at anybody. So that is why Caceres is acting as a deep-lying playmaker.

Obviously it's the system and pretty much everything else.

We are like scared kittens, and the longer it goes on the more we panic and rush things. It's actually bizarre to see how the mental side of our game goes to shit from one competition to another, all these guys are doing is getting behind the ball and the odd counter. There was no need to rush so many of those moves and chances that early on.
And then when we do get in promising positions, it almost always ends up with a wrong decision. Like a sideways pass, or a failed through ball, or a shot that hits Row Z. So irritating to watch.

We can safely say from this performance that Juve's 2013-2014 CL campaign wasn't a fluke.
ASlong as we continue with this stupid "352 of the 102 points"... we will never threaten enemy teams.

Put Coman in one wing, Put Morata in the other one and let the magic flow.

In Europe I could easily see it happening.
That's only because Dortmund will make it past the group stages.

At least if we cross, make sure there's more than one player in the box.All we have is freaking Llorente and sometimes Pogba when he runs.

But when Chiellini, Caceres, and Bonucci are there for a corner, we don't cross. :sergio: dumbest shit ever. I've never seen a team refuse to take a corner like that so consistently.

Been saying it for ages, we keep using defenders and expecting them to do the job of attacking players

Our full backs are being asked to do the job of wingers in the final 3rd

Our CBs end up being midfielders. And our midfielders end up having to score goals. Ridiculous.

But after we fuck up in Europe again, we'll smash teams in Serie A and a lot of people will go back to "Maybe we were unlucky, I mean 3-5-2 is beasting in Serie A. We'll do better next time"
