Like Alen said, I wouldn't put too much stock in it today as the opponents are on a different level.
We played quicker when he was hurt as well. Scored on average 3 goals per match I believe. We also played Trabzon last week with Pirlo and the team could not create what we have created so far in 30 minutes.

It's no secret Pirlo dictates the pace of your game. But he will always dictate a slower pace. Without him, the onus of our attack is set more on the forwards and Marchisio's defensive ability allows Pogba and Vidal to make more runs forward without fear of counters.

Also, with the onus shifted on longer balls up top, the CMs are encouraged to push forward to help support the strikers instead of sitting deep to support Pirlo's short passing. We stretch the field more without Pirlo IMO.

As I type this I just saw both Pogba and Vidal making runs ahead of Osvaldo while Marchisio was in possession in our own half.

Edit: Osvaldo goal with Vidal playing striker ffs. We have put 4 in the net in 30 minutes on the road against the same team we struggled with last week.
