This is what our game looks like.... Calm, slow build-up, no rush, pass back to Bounucci when neaded, to Buffon even.... This is how we won all our games last year. No rushing it to Gio or Matri, but slowly bring the ball to them through our more technically gifted players..... If we play with such calmness every game, then it will be 2011/2012 all over again....

Great, great, great half. Exactly what was required after losing our streak. Perhaps we needed that loss in the league to wake us the fuck up in Europe.

Everyone is playing well but the best have been Marchisio, Pirlo and Isla. Superb.

Now we just need Shakthar to hopefully equalise (or even win) in London.

They could. In 9 years with Abramovich, I haven't seen Chelsea's defense as bad and shaky as it looks tonight. SHakhtar are wasteful, just like they were against us. They are technically superior and they easily create, but they suck in converting their chances. They will surely create many more in the 2nd half. Chelsea deserved to lose at HT, but two big mistakes from Shakhtar's gk resulted with two goals for the English.
