I'm just stating the obvious, nothing special really
Marrone is not pirlo or verratti. Without pirlo and marchisio, we'd lack anticipating of the opposing play, and would get outplayed in the center. He's also not nearly as good in the buildup and taking the pressure of the defence.
Because of that, we switch to Pogba as cdm(not regista), and have vidal and giac press. its a less tactical play, but it would suit us better.
Giovinco needs space, he wont turn away from defenders, doesnt got the close controll to manage himself and not nearly the strenght. This is a fast paced tight space game. giovinco would get murdered. It could offcourse work if we are leading, thats an entire diffrent scenario.
Replacing vucinic if he plays bad, is best done by anelka, who also is supposed to link up with the team. later quag can be considered. It breaks the play up front, but he has a good convertion rate.
