If the game ends in a 3-1 for Juventus, don't we still enter the second leg in a good position? Sorry, I'm not good at how aggregated goals really work.

Pretty much. We can't afford to lose 2-0 though, that would mean their away goal counts double. I don't see us losing 2-0 to a side like this though, so 3-1 is alright.

Still, seeing how poor they were tonight, we should try for a fourth to be on the safer side.

they would go through only by beating us 2-0 ... any goal for us will mean they have at least to score 3 goals more than us to go through directly

Well, from past experiences in England, we can't discount that from happening. Better safe than sorry.
