The 4-2-3-1 is working, but apart from the obvious quality Giovinco adds to this formation, much of the success is related to the Sissoko-Melo partnership. If these two played together from the start of the season, i think we'd have at least conceded less, if we weren't gonna score more.
I wonder what will happen if Alex comes back.. Will he change formation again? or put him behind the striker in 4-2-3-1 or even play him as a lone striker? I don't want to see this beauty get ruined :frown2: at the same time I know what Alex can do and add to this team, personally I would go with this:

Del Piero - Diego - Giovinco

Amauri/Trez/Iaquinta

This is going to be one huge 2nd half that could tilt our season towards winning a title. Get a quick 3rd goal & we are sailing.

we finally score more than 1 goal in a game
Seriously. I've been waiting forever.

One word to describe this half:

perfect.
I haven't seen dominance like this from Juve in eons.

From here one word is very important: discipline. Keep it and we shall be in for a moral boosting trashing. Lose it and we might even lose the win.
I worry that our season could be like a Milan season of 2-3 years ago: we have the talent, and when we get psyched up for big matches we can win. But we get lazy and lost too easily against lesser sides.

notice how many "i always knew"s are in the last couple pf pages :D
I didn't know crap. We haven't beaten this club since 2006. I was expecting the big L based on everything going into this match.

If Del Piero sorts his dribbling out, that right there IS pure sex.

But Alen you've got to remember that the 4-2-3-1 formation gives more space and for our DM to room around and have options infront of them to pass the ball and thats exactly whats happening right now.

In the 4-3-1-2 our strikers are icelated out there doing nothing and Diego can't even keep the ball under he's feet for more than 2 seconds with no passing options.

This formation is just perfect for our team but the only problem is we don't have enought AM as backups in case one of the trio (diego, gio or Camo) got injured. Thats the ONLY problem with the current formation.....
