I know there's already JuventuZ.com group created by Rami on Facebook, but like we all know he's barely on and we don't use much that group when the forum is down. Also he has to accept the invitations requested by members and it's somehow complicated.

Therefore, I created a new JuventuZ community group on Facebook, whenever we are unable to acces Juventuz.com or Forum is down we can go there until problem is solved over here. This will be very useful.

I sent you all invitations. And I'll post the link here for those who aren't on the list.

I'll add myself. Too bad I hate FB and find it completely redundant with what I like to do here on the forums. :stuckup:

    Not only that. I don't know why Facebook is disliked by some of us around here, but with me the case is different. For example, Facebook is the best way not the only of course but the best way to keep in touch with your family, relatives, friends, specially if each one is living in different place/region.

    It actually depends on each person what he's using it for. For me, it's not like I can't live without it, but it makes a big difference when you have it for the purpose that I mentioned.

    The trouble for me probably is that I like having active personal engagements with those people in my life, not passive, "stalking" ones. It's the idea that the form holiday letter addressed anonymously to everyone has a value.

    I've found Facebook useful for the people who aren't in your inner circle of friends and family but are just outside of it. Which is nice. But to be honest, those people aren't that important to me. And if I'm too lazy to pick up the phone and talk to my brother, for example, then I don't want some lazy personal feed to be a substitute for having a conversation.

    Fundamentally for me, I guess that's the problem. For a "social network", it's pretty anti-social... because the tools for anonymously publishing a photo from a restaurant or saying that you injured your ankle becomes a substitute for actually directly speaking with the people you supposedly care about. Things like FB are less a conversation than a form letter -- a lazy cop-out for having more meaningful relationships with people.

    Good point, but then again, of course there are limits and you should know how to use these limits.

    Privacy is very important and I pretty much understand your point, but the good thing on FB is that you can also control your Privacy, it's tiring no doubt but useful. Also, If I have to pick up my phone and call for example my two sisters, my parents, my friends whom are all away from me, then I'd be broke in just 1week.

    As for your last part, I'm 100% with you there. Couldn't agree more.
