No..its VERY TRUE. Your highlighting examples which are not indicative of what I am saying. As an outsider I have seen that the most critical posters of the team (in a positive way) are also those who are given the least attention. The ones who admit to facts that some don't want to admit to. I.E. Del Piero HAS BEEN a choker. Montero, Ferrara and Legro won't cut it...etc. etc. Some posters simply add in their "RIGHT ON"
You are only taking into account those threads which support your supposition. You also fail to account for your own particular aggressiveness and provocation. You are not exactly the most tactful person, and that results in a more extreme reaction to your "revelations."

"FORZA JUVE" ..."And Don't forget the GOLDEN BALL!!" and are the most popular. Why? They see evil..the MOB MENTALITY hears no Evil.
Take the opposing fans ..the non-Juve posters. Incubo & Fred vs. Forza Milan and Aca.
In my case I have witnessed this mob mentality get nasty. While some posters stuck to topic answering me with valid points others used their intellect and opted for:
Why don't you leave numbnuts....go play with yourself...your a loser...your a fascist pig and choose this very mature way of dealing with it.
The funny thing is....NO ONE said A DAMN word. No one here told them to cool it. No one said it was uncalled for. And IT STILL HAPPENS. Personal insults..I get about one a week. Everyone turns a blind eye. It doesn't bother me because like I said "The king can do no wrong" the king being the "Majority".
I made one comment which made fun of someone's spelling AND I am still scolded for it today.
No one told them to cool it, because you started it yourself. Why should we go out of our way to defend you from the very type of insults that you began with?

Take Fred. His views oppose most in these forums and I have seen him in very bitter arguments time and time again.
Take Aca and Forza Milan. They rarely take a strong stand. Rarely SAY something bold that may or may not agree with the majority. And they are praised.
Actually, they are praised because they act in a respectful and coourteous manner. There are others, including Rhoverboy and Man Utd. Visitor. They treat others with respect and are not condescending.

Then it trickles down into other areas: Sergio is voted most friendly meaning most have shown their appreciation for his friendly non-threatening approach. Yet, just yesterday he was being drilled and maimed with words. All the while he had to defend his nation. Odd thing is no one took the bold step of scolding someone for ganging up on "Sergio" .. instead like a snowball the anti-US arguement just grew and grew. Funny how no one came to the defense of the "most friendly poster"...mob mentality in its purest form.
Sergio was voted most friendly, because he is the most friendly person. Why is everything somekind of conspiracy?

I still don't understand your assumption of some kind of insidious gang organization on this board. The forum is a place where people express their views. How can you hold it against a group of people because they agree with each other and they are expressing it? Just because you make yourself a target by taking the opposite view does not mean that there is a group consciousness that's after you. If you disagree, then why should they not meet your challenge head on?

And BTW, there have been many, myself included who have defended Serge, so don't make assumptions.

Good ponts flying around here. We should have a fight thread where nobody feels compelled to be courteous. I think we should name our biggest wanker:

LAC GETS MY VOTE FOR JUVENTUZ WANKER OF THE WEEK.

if i may.

i dont mean to boast, but it was me who made masturbationism(not wankerism) an art form, in the mold of surrealism, neo-classicism, and various art forms.

as the founder, director and ceo of masturbationism, i exercise my full right over who gets first sip from the glorious punchbowl.

unfortunately herbert hoover seems to have misplaced his invitation, and will not recieve the honors.

(is he still alive?)

oh yeah, and I couldnt help this- after all it is inbunco:

First of all, its funny how he makes such a big deal about mob mentality. Because if someone has to pick sides in a conflict in which he participates in, and they dont pick him, its automatically the "mob mentality". A ridiculous catch-22 situation where if people arent on his side, they are "bad people".

Honestly- I fail to see the dear fellow say too much positive about Juventus, so I must admit, I see him as biased, as nearly all his posts have something critical about the club, directly or indirectly, one way or another. I now dont hold it against him in person- rather just what I percieve as a discrepancy in his argument.

Something else that I find amusing is that he seems rather content to suck up to certain people, while dismissing the rest. Insults that he recieves are often the "only" insults that exist, supposedly, and if he were to be believed, the "attacks" he suffered were entirely unprovoked. I find that hard to believe.

I refuse to believe that anyone- Inbunco, aca, or anybody else would be attacked unless what they said provoked that response. In fact I'd like to be proved wrong on this, as Im tired of all the complaining.

I feel that aca is appreciated because he actually participates in non-Juve conversations- which are now irreversibly an essential part of the forums. As a result he is more likely to make friendly conversation with people, and have people appreciate him. Oh yeah and he is funny.

Imho, nobody insulted Serge per se, and people who are offended by the practises/culture that he belongs to does not necessarily mean he is insulted in person. If he was, and that too because of where he is from then that constitutes what I understand as racism, something I am opposed to when done voluntarily.

But then again i could be biased against Inbunco.

Anyone for punch?

Hmm..................Punch sounds good.

Is it Spiked??

(please say yes, please say yes)

And for the record, I really didn't feel offended at what has gone on since the ugly Ancelotti incident, to tell you the truth.

And I didn't feel insulted, I just wasn't too cool with the "ignorant" comment that was made recently in another thread.
It bothered me a little, but then again, I'm guilty of thinking with my heart sometimes instead of my head, but hey, it's who I am.
If anything, I plead ignorance about not knowing enough outside of my world, but I do the best I can, given the 19 different directions I'm pulled in on a daily basis.

Besides, everything has been smoothed over very nicely between me and the person in question. We're cool again, and that's really all that matters to me.

Hey Ian, I didn't win the nicest poster award. Frankly, Sunshine should have won that running away. Yet another injustice that was done with these awards. No offence to Nina, whom I'm sure is very nice, but I've never had any contact with her.

Now, everyone stop sticking up for me, for crying out loud!!!!!!:D:D It's much appreciated, however.

Nick, you're my friend, and you know that. You sometimes react the way I do, with my heart instead of my head. Shit, it's in our Italian-American blood.

Cooling down once in a while is good for the mind, as well as the body, fratello. But I can see where you come from, whereas its not so much the people that disagree with you that bring some substance to an argument that irritates you, its those who respond by calling you a jerk, or something similar to that.

Well, I've told you how I felt about that in Private, but I'll tell everyone else, and if it upsets some people, then so be it.

That is not cool at all, and it needs to stop. Someone like Nick is vital to a community like this, as he is the yin to our yang, but that doesn't mean that he deserves any less respect than the rest of us. I've had many conversations with him in threads and on private messages, and he's a class guy, and he's one of my best friends on this forum. So, please forgive me if I sound a little biased. This is a classy forum, run by classy people, and its up to us as members to uphold that when the moderators aren't around.

For a little while after I had returned, I saw real positive change in terms of people's attitudes, but it has seemed to slip a little again, and for a brief moment, less than 24 hours, I felt that it was starting all over again, including where I was concerned. But sometimes when you read deeper into what someone is saying, you get a better grasp of where they are coming from.

I'm not sure if most, or any of this, for that matter, makes any sense, but it is 11 pm, I had a 14 hour work day, my new Atkins diet is kicking my balls in from the inside out, and my Pavel Nedved jersey, my X-mas present from my mom, still hasn't come in yet.

Josh pass that punch. Fukk it, I'll spike it my damn self.:D:D

Arturo, you know as well as I do that I'm not the one that starts it.

If that was the case, I've been contradicting myself this whole time.

And even if you did have something against the US, is this the place for it?
Besides I know people in this forum who are my friends here who loathe this country, but they don't air their grievances with me whenever they know that I'm online.

This is a sports forum, for crying out loud. I'm not naive to the fact that its the most hated country in the world, but should it have a place here??

Obviously, the mods here don't think so, because the moment it gets politcal, or over the line, the thread gets closed.

would the word "children" mean anything to you?
Besides the fact that I hope to be a dad in the near future, no.

Keep in mind, Josh. I've eaten nothing but chicken, pea pods, and bamboo shoots for the past two days. My mind is miles behind where my body is right now.

are you serious??? why??
If this is in regards to the first statement, I've wanted to be a dad for a very long time.

If this is in regards to the 2nd statement, it's some of the foods that I can eat (and like) during the first phase, which lasts about three weeks.
It's a lifestyle change, Josh. In addition to the numerous maladies that I've suffered over the years that has made my immune system akin to the British Royal Family (it's there in name only), I'm a diabetic, and this diet really cuts down the carbs significantly, which will level out my blood sugar. Plus I could stand to lose about another 10 pounds.

it was in regards to the second statement, although the first statement sounds like great news. any thoughts on a name? (how bout a cool robot name? like r2d2?)

a lifestyle change eh? im looking at one of those too interestingly enough. is yours only for health benefits, or is there something philosophical/moral/spiritual behind it?

Nah, Josh, its for health benefits mainly.

I'm 34, and sometimes I feel like I'm one more pneumonia (I've had 3 in the last 4 months) away from cashing my chips in, and I'm way too young for that. So, I have to start somewhere.

ah. its a very important decision then that you take. dammit remember the stories of when people lived till 90, did the work of 3 of us combined, and to whom the only pain was that of a broken heart?

some of then wrestled bears, snakes, alligators, and lions too.

whats happened to us, the technologically, socially, and economically advanced people of the human race????

Ah what can I say , should i put on my Totti hat on and say I totally deserve it or do i put on my Dp hat on and say I am deeply humbled

Anyways thax for those who voted for me and those who voted at all

Boo to me for not voting as I have been away and not been able to come on here

But I would like to say I do enjoy reading posts by Vinman, Dajuve,Glen,Baggio, Slack, Shadowfax, SallyInzaghi, Incubo , Hydde and Martin when he does bother is excellent

There are some ppl like Stuart who should be given special award for dedication to the forum and Paul for dedication to the team in the way he watches matches

Nicest poster has to be Vit and my fave person on here, though I would say I find Sally, Fahad, Martin, Matto to be extremely nice ppl

Defender of idol, how the hell did i get nominated for that, first off Dp might be my favourite Juve player but he is far from my idol and I canno see anyone other than Mate winning this
I mean Baggio is not even a Juventus player anymore but we have a tribute thread to him and an anti Trez thread, a Dp sucks thread

Funniest poster was Tom till he became a sissy moderator and has stopped posting regularly, then Lac is way funny with so much intelligence

Best newcomer and non juve supporter poster is the same winner and thats Incubo though he does go from posting brilliantly to such tripe as everyone should feel sorry because Maldini looked sad for losing the intercontinental cup for the umpteenth time
But he did come and shake this place up quite brilliantly as lets face it it was dead for a while

Best Juve player 2003 Buffon, Nedved and Zambrotta

Best non Juve player would be Totti

Worst team Bologna as they play extremely ugly football

    Best female poster SallyInzaghi

    Best buy Beckham
