More importantly, he said something that has been often repeated in THIS thread: Aca is rarely seen. So I really FAIL to see how his comment was uncalled for.
I see what you mean, but aca is still way better than you :p

Not being around as much definitely affects the voting, a year ago I would have been a prime candidate for

'most loved poster'
'most revered poster'
'nicest poster'
'most intelligent poster'

etc etc but due to my post-happy days being (temporarily) over, I didn't win anything. At least thats my excuse

;)

number one: it was HIS opinion. Isn't that the point of this ... to VOTE based on our opinion? Or is it that if you don't agree with the majority then your comments are UNCALLED FOR?
Secondly, you scolded Fred for something that has been repeated by various posters in this thread i.e. Aca's Missing in Action.
I commented on the fact that he claimed not to have seen Aca post ever, when he posted in the same thread as him, seven posts above. What was uncalled for was him telling us to fu*k off, not the fact that we didn't agree. That the majority of this community thinks is alright to say "fu*k" off is not true IMO Incubo, and in conflict witht he forum rules.

To be honest its all hypocritical because as great and as much as I like this forum there is a persistent problem that occurs: that of pouncing on the individual with an opposing view. Its not just about one who likes an opposing team because that is quite evident when it occurs. It also occurs with Juve fans who are positively critical of the team with strong views. They are less popular and the ones who simply pump egos are the popular ones. This habit of ganging up on opposing views begins to get frightening when it occurs in situations such as Sergio's where he has to defend our nation's policies, history and politics to the majority on this board.
Whatever...I saw this trend from the day I entered. The King can do no wrong. And..nobody's perfect.

Actually you're right.

People in this forum fear fights. The "we feeling" is big. There can actually become arguments anyway, and those are really crewl. If one of the more "important" members disagrees with a newer or in your case a non juve fan this often leads to a massive attack from many members. In this way the group is still in harmony while the new blood is left out. Classic Juventus mentality "The group is more important than the individual".

See thats what I mean ... your posts are super-friendly, non-threatening and nice to the point of awkward. Seriously Aca...tell me to something like "Here's your conspiracy theory "BLEATCH":D
To answer whomever it was that asked me to play by the rules..you said it best..its an internet messaging board.
At least my allies outweigh my 'haters' on this forum: i.e. those who tippy-toe around my posts and avoid me like a disease. ......

.......I fail to "see" and understand something:
The point of this "contest" is for EVERY individual to vote. To vote based on THEIR own opinions of the individuals of this forum. Some accept the results (Aca) some don't (ME!). But on a serious note, Fred BASICALLY stated WHO he voted for and why. More importantly, he said something that has been often repeated in THIS thread: Aca is rarely seen. So I really FAIL to see how his comment was uncalled for.

I would also add that the sarcastic and patronizing comments were directed at Fred before he even began to react. Look back..maybe an appt. to the EYE doctor is warranted here. Nevermind forgetting to put on one's SPECS......

Good ponts flying around here. We should have a fight thread where nobody feels compelled to be courteous. I think we should name our biggest wanker:

LAC GETS MY VOTE FOR JUVENTUZ WANKER OF THE WEEK.

You're being stupid now. That's not even treu, what you're saying. Half the time (if not more), the argument sways back on forth between posters saying, "Our team sucks, sell them all!" and others saying, "I love all of our players." There is a general disagreement, and it's not discouraged. And I don't see how you can possibly have a group discussion without the side with more people ganging up of the side with less people...it's a statistical necessity that it happens.

It's not about ganging up on opposing views, it's simply because there are precious few americans on this board, and it's natural that people don't understand some of your views.

It's like if i started saying "Australia's the world superpower and they're gonna rule the world", I'd get swarmed like vultures to carrion, but that's not because people feel like ganging up on me, it'd simply be for the reason that everyone disagrees and happens to voice their opinion.

You gotta admit though, your posting style way way different back then from what it is now... you were just begging for criticism. Now that you've changed your approach though, people's reactions to you have changed accordingly

Hey dude.

Quick question, and then we'll put this to bed.

When have you read where I, or any of my countrymen, came on here and said that the US is the world superpower and are gonna rule the world??

Maybe not in those words, but when have you seen something that is even remotely close to that. Because I can speak for myself when I say that I've never given that kind of attitude.

I'm just wondering, because if it IS something that I've said, or the style of my posts, then I'll put a stop to it.

okay i think i chose a pretty bad example. My "Australia is a superpower" has nothing to do with what you said, or my views on the USA. I just chose a bloody ridiculous example that everybody would disagree with. Maybe i should've gone with "Australia is in the Northern Hemisphere".

i haven't seen any arrogance or belligerence on your part. I think you're doing a fine job of defending without attacking, and all respect to you for it.

so i guess this is 'put to bed' then :)

cheers bro ;)

So who gets to tuck this in, and read it a bedtime story??

Not me, man.

I'll end up showing it the lastest issue of Playboy:D:D

Problem is you don't show me you have any "COGLIONE'S" (for a translation see Sergio or Vinman) either Aca...no offense Dude. You post with a certain style that is to make sure you don't dare say one criticism of Juve and keep all comments vs. Juve to an absolute minimum not to spark anything negative. Tippy toeing around and peeping your head through saying hi...there is no doubt you are loved by all. Your playing the easy game....I prefer the road "less travelled".
To be honest....I really didn't think I was winning this award. I in all honesty would have given myself "Defender of the Idol" Award. Name me one other poster who has to dodge post after post and defend his team from various views, various google searchers and various anti-Milanista's. All this in a Juve forum.....Try that on for size ..bleach!

No..its VERY TRUE. Your highlighting examples which are not indicative of what I am saying. As an outsider I have seen that the most critical posters of the team (in a positive way) are also those who are given the least attention. The ones who admit to facts that some don't want to admit to. I.E. Del Piero HAS BEEN a choker. Montero, Ferrara and Legro won't cut it...etc. etc. Some posters simply add in their "RIGHT ON"
"FORZA JUVE" ..."And Don't forget the GOLDEN BALL!!" and are the most popular. Why? They see evil..the MOB MENTALITY hears no Evil.
Take the opposing fans ..the non-Juve posters. Incubo & Fred vs. Forza Milan and Aca.
In my case I have witnessed this mob mentality get nasty. While some posters stuck to topic answering me with valid points others used their intellect and opted for:
Why don't you leave numbnuts....go play with yourself...your a loser...your a fascist pig and choose this very mature way of dealing with it.
The funny thing is....NO ONE said A DAMN word. No one here told them to cool it. No one said it was uncalled for. And IT STILL HAPPENS. Personal insults..I get about one a week. Everyone turns a blind eye. It doesn't bother me because like I said "The king can do no wrong" the king being the "Majority".
I made one comment which made fun of someone's spelling AND I am still scolded for it today.
Take Fred. His views oppose most in these forums and I have seen him in very bitter arguments time and time again.
Take Aca and Forza Milan. They rarely take a strong stand. Rarely SAY something bold that may or may not agree with the majority. And they are praised.
Then it trickles down into other areas: Sergio is voted most friendly meaning most have shown their appreciation for his friendly non-threatening approach. Yet, just yesterday he was being drilled and maimed with words. All the while he had to defend his nation. Odd thing is no one took the bold step of scolding someone for ganging up on "Sergio" .. instead like a snowball the anti-US arguement just grew and grew. Funny how no one came to the defense of the "most friendly poster"...mob mentality in its purest form.

Am I really being that Stupid?
