Several newspapers are reporting we already spent our whole transfer budget.

our signings so far

Cannavaro - 0

so we had 24 million euros for reinforcing our miserable squad and it has gone. I didn't expect us spend big like madrid or inter but i didn't expect us spending like a provincial club as well. if we don't buy a new left back, a new right back, a new mc, we won't improve our game.

i seriously don't know how they convinced Buffon for their ''exciting plan''. Neither Grosso, Dossena nor Ledesma are exciting.

i wouldn't blame clowns in our board if they didn't lie about our summer plans. since summer 2006 they have talked big and failed miserably at the end.

our hope for next season depends on sales. poulsen fucked it up, tiago fucked it up several times, players like marchionni,zebina,grygera doesn't worth more than 2 million euros. we have lost two of most promising talents in italy like motta(secco's lack of vision) and criscito(thanks to ranieri) and now we are trying to replace them with cattles like dossena and ujfalusi.

we can't depend on sales, we are not palermo or porto ffs. we started to lose our giant club identify. can somebody tell me what is the real reason behind of our financial crisis?

btw, i am talking about today's situation if we win lottery or j.elkann starts to love this club things can change before the new season.

Actually, I'm against buying another Central Midfielder. Marchisio, Zanetti, Sissoko, Poulsen, Tiago so far are more than enough.

Agreed 100%!

Regarding this topic: We have never really been big spenders. The only times we spent a lot was when we made money from outgoing transfers. And that's just the way I like it.

the transfer budget as i recall is 40 to 50m. our total spending is around 18 until now. so we should have at least around 20 mill to spend.

do you really believe that if our budget was 24m secco will spend it all on one player?

one thing secco is doing right is not buying d'ago for the ridiculous amount udinese asking.

and since both melberg and cricito (maybe gregyra )wont be playing with us next season, we will probably get at least one full back.

I agree with you regarding (grosso, Ufi and dossana)

Look at the bright side, its good to make everybody believe that your out of transfer money when you are not.

the transfer market is really quiet
everyone is reluctant to spend big apart from Real and certain billionaires off course

I think Ranieri and this board have collectively done more damage than meets the eye. Decisions they took during these delicate two years are seemingly what's beginning to show now. If money is really the only issue on the agenda, then I dont think we should look beyond Ranieri and Secco as the culprits. It's the kind of money they've spent on indentifying and purchasing average and sub par players that is now coming around to affect the quality of players coming into the squad. What i mean is, picking up players like Tiago, Almiron and Poulsen for the amounts we did seem to have backfired big time. A lack of negotiational skills, coupled wih little or no vision and indecisiveness have led to not only these players flopping, but their market value falling out of proportion. If at the time of going for Poulsen, we'd spent the extra and gone for Xabi, we'd at least have Madrid knocking on our doors with an offer that would allow us to chase players of a similar calibre with cash to spare (it's a hypothesis because we all know how the Gareth Barry scene played out). Selling Mellberg for as little as 2m euros seems like we would have been better of keeping him, since it does very little to our funds. Even in spending on the players we did, we forgot one thing: quality begets quality. With little or no resale value, its but obvious we're going to suffer when we want to take that step up in quality. I hope it doesnt come down to cashing in on a stalwart like Trezeguet who after all these years would still be valued higher than any of those above mentioned players. Let's hope we can achieve our mercato targets without making the same mistakes we have in the recent past.

He probably read a headline on a site like goal.com and made a drama out of it.

As for the damage I really can't understand how can one say that this board have created more damage than the one Moggi did.
