Inter have declared interest in Fernando Meira of Stuttgart. Problems have risen in the transfer of Radoslav Kovac to Inter as Moratti thought it would cost him 5-6mil euros, although Spartak now want 15 and there is also competition of Sevilla and Manchester City. And then there is the Chivu situation, it could be unblocked but at the moment its very far away. Therefore Meira could join as he has similar characteristics to Chivu and Kovac. Stuttgart asks 9mil euros and doesnt really want to deal with Juventus after they allegedly tapped up their player. Luis Figo has spoken very well about Meira and believes he would be a good acquisition from a technical point of view. Juventus hasnt given up and now would be a good time to land a bitter blow to their scudetto rivals.

Looks like we are gonna offer 10mln euros for Meira.

The Inter has thrown on Fernando Meira of the Stoccarda. Account has become that is not easy to arrive to Radoslav Kovac of the Spartak Moscow. The men of Moratti thought to pay 5-6 million euro, instead the Spartak asks 15 and however there is the competition of Seville and Manchester City. And then there is the Chivu situation. It could be unblocked, but in this moment the parts are farthest. Fernando Meira therefore can join in one single person some characteristics of Chivu and some of Kovac. Is an optimal central defender, but he can return unconstrainedly to center field with excellent results. The Stoccarda asks 9 million and it does not have a lot wants to deal him with the Juventus. Moreover, Luis Figo has spoken very well to all about its countyman and Moratti is convincing that it could be just a good transaction from the technical point of view. The Juventus has little refrained and all this becomes a good reason in order to sink the hit.

After the interest of Inter, Juventus has decided to accelerate the negotiation of Meira. The bianconeri have already established contact with Stuttgart and with the agent of the player, the Rogon Sportmanagement. Juventus has made an offer of 8.5 million euro for the defender while Stuttgart asks 10. It is likely that once negotiations are finished, the fee will be paid in intermediate figures. To make things difficult, Inter, under the demand of Figo has been interested in the defender. Although it seems Meira is the alternative to Kovac if that deal falls through, but he is not an urgent necessity. Ranieri has recently stated that the market is closed for Juventus, and they are not in the hunt for Meira as he already has Criscito and Molinaro. Juventus has infact decided to sell one defender, the candidates are Boumsong and Legrottaigle. The controversy involving Chiellini has hinted that he too might be on his way. Yesterday Ranieri stated his intentions to clear the air with Chiellini, but that his stay at Juventus isnt certain. First of all, Blanc wants to verify if the offer of 8 million from Liverpool is real. If it is true, then Juventus might ask Chiellini to prepare his suitcase. Along with interest from England, Genoa and Napoli have declared their interest. Juventus might look to use the money from Chiellini's possible departure to buy Meira. In the next 2 or 3 days both operations will have developed more and arrive to their conclusion.

Meira is a good player in my opinion but obviously not as good as a player or leader as Andrade. One thing I do like about the guy is that he's tall and pretty solid in the air, something we have lacked recently with the traitor and Mr. Control Ya Arms at the back in recent years. 9 million Euros is a good price for Meira I suppose so hopefully we can make this happen; plus he's a far better option than the overrated Barzagli.
