Interesting choice if true, looks like he’s been Benfica SD since 2021 and overseen much of the major sales they did over the last years(with many of them having been also purchased and/or promoted under his tenure), obviously not that Benfica were doing all that worst in that sense beforehand either though, but still seems like a rather competent option.

Shame he's about to sign Rios for them and not us...

IMO, Benfica has been great at their youth squad but not much else in recent years.
I guess constantly chopping has it’s own repercussions, instead of focusing on building again a winning core they keep selling majority of their star players and promising talents while not reinvesting back nearly as much as they’ve been earning.

Rui Pedro Braz, a new candidate for the sporting director role at #Juventus, he holds a degree in Social Communication, a Master's degree in Communication and Leadership and an MBA in Sporting Management. He started his management career as the secretary of #Benfica Futsal, then he took on the role of sport commentator for more than 10 years, before taking on the role of sporting director at #Benfica for 4 years. His exit from the Portuguese club will be ratified before the election of the new board scheduled in October.

Who is Javocic, what do we know about him?
I have no clue, but whoever he is, I don't think he will bring about a major change and an effective approach. The core and foundation of our board of directors is suffering from an incurable disease and a sinister virus.

Most of Benfica fans hate Braz, and hold him responsible for poor negotiation skills. Apparently they believe they could have got Rios a few million cheaper but as Braz is leaving he wanted to go out with a bang and sign Richard Rios at the asking price immediately. Braz has a TV celebrity status, more on tv and less doing what sporting director does.

Sounds like he fits right in.
