"As an Aussie who watches a lot of Australian football this is an insanely good get. This guy is known as a sports science guru. Every team he joins tends to compete for a premiership within a couple years of appointment. AFL are some of the fittest players in the world and this guy is the best of the best."

Well that is random, I was very confused when I saw that.

Look he is considered elite here in Australia, best in class. AFL is a very physically demanding sport, every team he has worked with has seen massive improvements fitness wise. What I actually like about this move is that we are looking away from the usual circles, trying to innovate. Pretty cool.

He was at Liverpool I think at one point as well.

Wasn’t he at Melbourne (Dee’s) when they won a flag?

His resume is amazing. And let’s be honest, Italian sports science has been lagging behind the rest of the world for years now. AFL players are amongst the fittest athletes on the planet too. I think this is an amazing appointment really.

AFL modern game has changed a lot the past few years as well. Still very physical but more so run and spread these days means the players run harder and faster than ever before.
