Category: General

Thousands of fans flocked to the Parco Pineta sports centre this evening to watch their heroes take on a representative side from the Val Rendena. The game, played over two 22 minute halves, was inevitably a rather one sided affair given the gulf in class between the two sides, but the players maintained their focus and provided the crowd with some wonderful entertainment. Palladino opened the scoring early on but injured himself in the process, leaving the field with a light strain to his left ankle. His replacement, Tomas Guzman, made an almost immediate impact, latching onto Ibrahimovic’s deft pass to double the bianconeri’s lead. The young Paraguayan then added two more before the break, making it 4-0 to Juve. Ibrahimovic began the second half in audacious style, trying his luck from the kick-off, but it was Olivera who added the fifth goal, executing a clinical free-kick from outside the box. Zlatan made it six with a sweet right-footed curler, before Kapo added his name to the score sheet, tapping in a Nedved cut-back. Ibrahimovic finished the match with a flourish, adding two more to secure a classy hat-trick.

Juventus: Mirante, Masiello, Kovac, Tudor, Rossi, Olivera, Luci, Nedved, Kapo, Palladino (Guzman), Ibrahimovic
