I'm starting to understand the value of this setup.

Develop talent in house. If they become Juventus first team calibre that's perfect. If they fall short we can sell them on.

Something which will take time to build but which will hugely benefit us is building a reputation for having a good coaching academy. Ajax and Barcelona have this and players will often go for a premium even if they haven't shown much on the pitch simply because they studied at these teams. Porto I guess is similar, but their model I believe leans more heavily on scouting South American and specifically Brazilian talent.

Okay, I'm on board. But we do need to manage our expectations of the players coming through. Fagioli has been the best since Marchisio and he's not close to Claudio. Nobody else has surpassed even Giovinco. We'll unearth our next Del Piero eventually, and we'll recognise him when he emerges.

Been saying this more or less since I registered here

Looks like he could play on the wing. Next gen doesnt have any left footed forwards, interesting profile.

I'm not sure why do they consider Portanova a Next Gen player and they don't consider Kean as one. Also, some sales were more likely about plusvalenza, like, for example, selling Tongya for 8 million to Marseille and buying Ake from Marseille for the same amount.
Nevertheless, the profit we make from these young kids is impressive and it's a job well done.

July 2020 TM: “Arnaud is a hard worker, a very good player” Aug 2021: Spezia coached by TM was interested in him. Nov 2021 Kalimuendo: "With Thiago Motta, I took on another dimension. He trusted me a lot, knowing that the season before his arrival, I didn't play much. He included me in the U19 group."

Acording to Agresti, Savona, Adzic and Rouhi convinced Motta during the training camp in Germany and they will train on a permanent basis with the First Team.
Rouhi and Savona are tall full backs. Motta seem to prefer tall full backs since they swap positions with CBs in the attacking phase. We definitely don't have that many options to begin with. Very curious about Adzic, I hope he shows his qualities when it matters.

with Miretti injured Adzic will get his chance. Rouhi looks massive for a fullback. Motta probably looking for another Posch. Savona might be that guy. Agresti also said rouhi and savona have many proposals from other clubs but Juve have rejected them.
