Official: Pecchia for Juve U23 job

Juventus have hired Fabio Pecchia as the new Coach of their Under-23 team, which will play in Serie C1.

He had already played for the Bianconeri in 1997-98 and had an impressive management career so far, mainly acting as assistant manager to Rafa Benitez at Napoli, Real Madrid and Newcastle United.

Pecchia was also a Coach on his own terms at Foggia, Gubbio, Latina, Hellas Verona and most recently Japanese club Avispa Fukuoka.

So along with Hamza Rafia there was the official presentation of two more players we tied up deals for some time ago.

Erik Gerbi, 19 year old striker we bought and loaned back to Pro Vercelli in Jan for €1.5m or so.

Daouda Peeters, 20 year old Belgian DM we paid €4m for in Jan and sent back on loan to Sampdoria.

All should be with U23 this season.
