The ”New Juventus” is under construction, but the January transfer window is a contributory factor to that the “New Juventus” is going to be rebuilt. But is it economic and healthy to make such renovations under such a short period?
It is 2007 and Juventus is about to embark on the second half of the season in Serie B. When the season began in the fall, a lot was said and Juventus showed that they are a strong team and has since fought hard despite the penalized points to attain a spot in the table that leads to Serie A. The supporters and the players can smell the scent of Serie A and long to play in the top division.
Goals and ambitions in their own place, but I’m afraid we are 'scoring an own goal’ at the moment. First of all it is creating a bad mood. As a Juventus player one has to feel that everyone is ungrateful, they are fighting and giving it all to get Juventus back to its old and already; halfway through the season, replacements are being sought.
The bad mood will most probably have negative impact on the performance on the pitch. Do you think Paro and Marchisio are just as motivated as they were in the fall, knowing that that Mascherano, Mavuba or someone else is going to take their place? God forbid, but if it goes really bad we might miss Serie A.
Furthermore, we will squander the chance to produce our own talents. Had Paro and Marchisio had the chance had the team remained in Serie A? One leaves the concept of the “New Juventus” too quick. It seems the “New Juventus” only exists for one season.
Juventus is a historicaly a big club, and one should have patience enough to realise that you can’t recruit a scudetto in one season. You’re in over your head if you demand immediate success in Serie A. The economy of the club cannot be risked for weird ambitions and at the moment, the fragile economy has to be carefully watched in the next couple of seasons.
Also keep in mind that Trezeguet will most probably leave the team, possibly even Buffon. If these players, the most valued players in Juventus, leave the team we’ll need replacements. The replacements plus the defenders, the midfielders that they team will need will require too many changes in the squad. Will we end with a starting 11 that this sites forum has suggested, then the only ones remaining will be Bojinov and Chiellini?
No, we need to be more careful than that. It doesn't matter if we have a Skoda or a Ferrari, its not sane to change from the 1st gear to the 5th/6th. We have to accelerate in a careful way which is good for the team as well has result. We will buy a couple of new players and give players like Paro the confidence to continue in the black&white shirt. Then a couple of new players ever season, which Juventus has always done, and within a short period Juventus will become a big club in Europe again.
Del Piero’s demands for better players is a bid strange actually. Apart from that, the captain should think about what kind of signals he’s giving out to the club and his teammates. If quality players are brought in that the chances of him starting are reduced (considering that Del Piero wasn’t too happy being on the bench under Capello). And all us Del Piero-fans will gladly see our legend play atleast one more season for Juventus in Serie A; whether we’ll win a scudetto or not.
Success can (and will) not be bought unless one has money like Abramovich. We should that the team and its board of directors can withstand the pressure from the players and the supports and react in the benefit of the club in the long run.

I know it's hard to swallow but I think this guy makes sense. We don't wanna get ahead of ourselves and hurt the team in the long run.
What do you think?
Please discuss.
