CB’s and DM’s staying in their positions for majority of the time without trying any fancy interchanges seems to help our overall balance, one of them making a forward run once in a while when there’s space to create superiority is more than enough.
The positives from Tudor are that we look more aggressive and want to turn Genoa by putting the ball in behind them. We hardly ever did that with Motta. Vlahovic's hold up play has been massively better. Gonzalez has been good and actually looks capable of contributing other than some poor decision making.
The negatives are we still can't pass from the back and we look shaky, particularly Veiga in the middle. Koop still poor.
I wasnt expecting us to come out and be a completely different team under tudor in game 1. Not that time is on hands but it is obvious he needs a couple of games to implement change.
