I thought Zakaria improved after a pretty shaky start. Nice to see a midfielder who runs a bit more than the other two zombies next to him and puts himself about. Looks a tad clumsy though. But I like what I see.

Pretty comfortable half for us. Not really bothered defensively and looked quite threatening going forward. Just don't fall asleep in the second half and we're golden.

I just remember the first half of the game against this lot earlier this season. We were 2-0 down in the space of 12 mins or some shit and it could have been more.

We’ve limited them badly. Although they are missing their two best players in Simeone and Caprari.

What a difference it makes having a striker. Magnificent finish from Vlahovic, he looks really sharp and great to see us having someone play high up the pitch. We badly need one of our 3 mids to get closer to him, particularly on the long balls which he either knocks down or the defenders do.

Dybala really good apart from one terrible cross field pass. Danilo excellent.

Zakaria started dreadfully but has improved and been most impressive without the ball. He reminds me of Sissoko but more restrained/intelligent.

Arthur trying to dribble defenders in our own box is not something I want to see regularly but he has improved. Still needs to be better.

I’m not. Not insulting you or anything. I just don’t think you can really expect to see this midfield be a possession based side against teams that press aggressively. The qualities aren’t there. We’re one good midfielder to partner Locatelli away from being there. And yes, 100% agree on the hodgepodge trash Tootsie assembled.

If Morata can get himself coming off that wing to play off Vlahovic it could be massive for us. They did it once and it worked really well but need to see it more often.
