I think there is one big issue people forgot

this money is money from the Family, not from Juventus itself
Juve always had money(which i think is 40m euro for transfers), n theres the new 10 m euro, that overall makes 50m euro:D )

Its about time the Agnelli's invested again into our club. They havent pumped money for a number of seasons now going back near the mid 90's was the last time if i recall.

You're right, but that will be a 20-year loan, so paying 20 million in one year is harder than paying 120 million in 20 years. NO??
That`s true. The euro is our chance to get a great football stadium. renovating the delle alpi for 20 millions would not make a lot of sense for me. All big clubs have great football stadiums without running tracks. it i just not possible to change a lot with 20 millions. that would be just enough to get the stadium to the required safety standard but it will not make the delle alpi a good stadium to watch football. I really hope that italy gets the euro 2012 and we get a new stadium.

i hope that Uefa oppose Blatter and give the Euro to Italy.Things don't look so good atm in regards of the stadium.Getting that bid through would be very important as then we will get a great stadium.

That`s true. Italy needs new stadiums. Teams put hundreds of millions in players but nothing in stadiums. The euro could be very important to get new stadiums and get fans back to the stadium.

:agree: with the above posts. I hope Italy gets the Euro 2012. It would be good for Italy; it would be good to get new/improved stadiums. However, the other countries competing against Italy, also want the Euro 2012 for the same reasons. We're going to have to keep our fingers crossed that Italy gets chosen to host this event.

Who is this guy Reb? Somehow I don't think he knows what he's talkin about.

What’s Cooking In The Old Lady's Kitchen?

Now Juve can rely on a sizeable increase of capital, 104.8 million euros. A bit of cash to buy Ronaldinho and Kakà? No, as 75 million are needed to pay off debts with banks, while 20 million should be destined to refurbish Delle Alpi stadium.
Where did this get the debt figures exactly? I'm under the impression that Juve allocated the funds to pay off SOME debts(reduction) and rejuvinate our CAsh flow to sustain operational cost and investments required for our next season. Not to mention Strategic marketing.

And even if we had 75mil debt From my personal experience, you never pay back entirely! You pay off what u calculate would be the best amount and leave the rest of the debt to be paid in accordance to its timeline. That way much of the CASH Flow at hand can be used to make neccessary investment which subsequent growth SHOULD beat the DEBT's INterest rate.

What’s Cooking In The Old Lady's Kitchen?

But what is also interesting about this capital increase is that 60% of the money will be paid by Ifil, holding company of the Agnelli family. This means that after 14 years the famiglia is ready to pump some money into Juventus just to help the club to regain its top team status, while the remaining 40% of capital increase will be on small investors and probably not on family Gadaffi – which owns 7.5% of Juventus shares – unwilling to take part in the capital increase.
And how does this guy know Gadaffi will not participate in the financial increase? From my knowledge when an increase of capital is made by the shareholders' pockets to the company, ALL owners are REQUIRED to participate in the total capital increase. This means if they agree to increase 108mil Euros, 7.5% has to be invested by Gaddafi or risk losing some percentage of his ownership.

New shares will be made and basically sold to the current owners thus there will be more shares in Juventus; but in ownership percentage terms, it should remain the same if all owners participate.

Gaddaffi has minimum ownership, he might not like having to invest, but if the majority shareholder decides it (IFIL) and he doesnt want to lose percentage of ownership, he must participate.
IFIL guarentees this Capital increase.

Juve have stated they will make the financial dealings in April.

What’s Cooking In The Old Lady's Kitchen?
We all know the end of the story and the tragic consequences suffered by the Old Lady because of the “triad” management. Did the family know about Moggi & Giraudo methods? Well, let’s say that at least they had some vague ideas about what was going on, and that they were very quick to get rid of them.

Is he Internisti? His bitterness sounds like one.

He's a Goal.com columnist. So, don't be surprised with anything he writes...

But what he said about Gaddafi maybe right, because one of his sons before afew months said that he wants to wirthdraw his contribution in Juve because he found that his family has nothing to do with football. Anyway, if he doesn't want to withdraw his money and doesn't want to increase his shares with the same percentage that IFIL will do, then, as you said, their shares will be less than 7.5%

Juve said they would break even next yr. That was b4 this announcement of 104 millions euros. The debt shouldn't be a problem.

Yeah, wonderful columnist ova at Goal.com, Thanks for the post though Reb!

It's not a bad thing either if Gaddafi's shares become smaller, in the end the Juventus club will benefit.

I see this project to take a somewhat similar path to Man Utd, in terms of Branding and Commercializing the team. I really doubt most of this money will be used to increase Spending Budget, but I'll wait till April 4 more confirmation.

Meanwhile, Juventus general director Jean-Claude Blanc has confirmed that the Old Lady are planning a significant summer spending spree to build a competitive side.

“We have the money and a lot of it,” the official told La Repubblica. “Most of the extra £71.6m approved by the board will be used for new signings, which will be finalised in the summer.”

We are going to have to pay a high price for any half decent player when the whole world knows we have cash to spend, just look at what happens whenever chelsea are interested in someone, their value rockets.

20 for the stadium, 20 for the debt, I still think it will be around 30, based on our targets so far, which proportionally, is "most" as Blanc has conviently put very loosely.
