Looking good. :smoke:

Can you briefly describe what the article says though? Anything concrete on Robinho, some fall outs with Capello, anything like that? Or is just a plain rumour again.

Plain speculation really.

Edit: Interesting bit about Moggi making an offer for Robinho in the past though. 10 million for Robinho, which would see Robinho joining us in 2008 was the (I assume) rejected offer.

They simply say Robinho doesn't get much playing time under Capello and that Juve might have a go for him. If you ask me it's an unlikely transfer. I like Robinho and I think he could be an asset to our team, but he is an expensive Galactico. In my opinion we will probably have to take one such risk next season (I really don't believe we can afford more than one additional star player), but I'm not sure that Robinho's the man we want.

Thanks. That was the offer, you're correct, since we were linked with Cassano at that time and Real stepped in the race as well, Moggi made that offer for Robinho. Some said it was a tactic to scare Real off Cassano. I think the deal was 10mil for 40% of Robinho than after 2 years we pay some additional fee to bring him here which suited Santos' president more as he was reluctant to see him leave so soon.

Highly unlikely, yes, still it has more possibility to happen with this management than it would in the Moggi era, mainly because of DD. Getting Robinho would be a huge boost for us, both on the pitch and off it(commercially wise).

Brazilian strikers are always flops in Serie A (for the most part, barring Ronaldo I suppose). It's more agressive in that you must physically make space for yourself, and I find that Robinho isn't up to snuff seeing as he's quite boney.
I agree 100%. Robinho is good, but he needs to put on a few pounds....but not too much like Fat Ronny. Robinho sort of reminds me of Juninho Paulista. He went to play in the EPL and got thrashed around by the physical style of play.

:agree:

i would prefer someone low profile, and i dont see the kid as the ideal replacement for neddy or we dont need another forward.

Mybe we could get Rosina from the Granta

..

Getting both Samuel and Barzagli would be awesome, then we'd only be lacking a proprer right back.
Sorry..... Maby i should be a little more at this forum, but dont have enough time..... Anyway, who 'Samuel' are ppl talking about?

Juventus took Balzaretti from Torino a couple of years ago and they weren't too happy about that, so this would be a pipe dream.

Rosina is a very good player but I'm not so sure where he would fit into Deschamps' system.

And I'm not a fan of Robinho at all, so if we have to break the bank to obtain him I would have to say no because if he cannot light up La Liga there is no way he will be amazing in Serie A.

I still can put my finger on DD's system, i thought it was pretty flexible for a while and with a player like Rosina we could play him on the wing and behind the strikers.

tonite's real game showed why I oppose bringing in Robinho.
