This may be in another thread but I see today that Juve are now the third richest club ( in terms of turnover) in the World after Real Madrid in first and Man Utd in second.
This is based on season 2001-2002 accounts.

OK, you asked for it. For the record I didn't want to bring Celtic into this, but here goes......

OLD FIRM IN WORLD'S TOP 20 RICHEST

Celtic and Rangers have been listed among the 20 richest clubs in the world in a survey published by World Soccer magazine.

Based on annual income for season 2001/02 the Ibrox side totalled £44.8m in revenue, while Celtic are listed two places above them having banked £56.9m.

Real Madrid top the list on £180m with Manchester United second (£148.1m) and Juventus third (£139.3m).

WORLD EXCLUSIVE! Real Madrid are the world's richest club

It?s official: Real Madrid have displaced Manchester United as the world's richest club, according to the results of our exclusive survey of club finances.

Madrid, with an annual income of e252million in the financial year to 2002, have a greater revenue than any other club.

Their income was e45m higher than that of Man United, second in our list. But only one other Spanish club, Barcelona, features in our top 20.

They are joined by a total of eight from England, five from Italy, three from Germany and two from Scotland. World Soccer's research team, led by football finance expert Simon Banks, used a wide variety of sources.

The full results, including details of clubs' wage bills, transfer spending and sponsorship deals, appear in the July 2003 edition of World Soccer, on sale tomorrow.
