These kind of stats can be found in goal.com live commentary. When someone gets a red/yellow, it is told why he got the card for. When you see a yellow/red card, check the comments right below or above that one.
Not always, though. Sometimes they just register the card without giving more info.

I've just given him a half assist for Asamoah's goal because, while it was good play, I think he was cutting the ball back into the middle of the box and it was only because of the deflection that it ended up anywhere near Asamoah.
