Nah. Morientes won't come to Juve, and I don't think Puyol would either, although there is the SLIGHTEST of chances he would
Agreed...

16mil pounds for trez is a reasionable price..we should accept it ;)
and agreed...

let's face it, real has only 3 players who's natural position is forward (raul, ronaldo, portillo)... Why wouldn't they take morientes back, he's been impressive enough in monaco?? But if they buy another striker in the summer, then we'll see what happens...

guti is a forward too:)(although he does play as a DM sometimes)
this year he hasn't played as forward nearly at all... he's been DM and I've even heard that he played few games as AM...

Puyol it`s sound nice if he as good as in the CM
Thuram I prefer that he stays unless they will offer us 20M$ or more and that selling option for this money is just because he is old!
Selling Trez ok
buying Morientes I think we can get much better strikers than him I don`t think he will be an improvement for us if he will replace Trez for the controrary I think that he will decrease our attacking level so plz lets get other strikers who have more talent!

we don't need morientes..as rumours all around italy say that juve has already signed gilardino, then let's replace trez with him.

Thuram definitely isn't worth 20m at this stage. I can see him going for somewhere around 10m, with Trabelsi coming for free.

And about Morientes. Imo he's much better than Trez. His finishing is just as good, as is his heading, but his technical ability, dribbling and passing is better. He would certainly be able to contribute to our build-up play more than David.

I think most people will agree that Morientes is technically more gifted than Trez, but there's always the ever-present Spaniard factor :scared:

Yeah, I know about that, and Morientes is already 30. Plus, Gilardino is very close to us and proven in Serie A, so...

Even if he is 27, going on 28, this is exactly the problem that juve has. Whenever they go out and make a purchase, its always for someone who is already in their mid to late 20's instead of going out and getting a really young player(s) to build the team around.

Its a stop-gap mentality, and these guys need to bite the bullet for a year or two so that a true dynasty can be rebuilt. People will say that Juve doesn't rebuild, they simply reload. Well, every successful sports franchise has had to rebuild every so often, as their past philospophies no longer work.

I'm all for a youth movement, and have the patience to wait. Hopefully, supporters out there will be patient as well, for the payoff could be wonderful in the long run.

    Are you talking about Trez??

I never wanted him sold. He's the type of player that you can build a team around. But, if you are going to sell him, you might as well go all out, and truly rebuild this franchise.

With all the talk of selling Trez, so far Morientes is the only prospect I would be willing to risk, because I think he should be a genuine improvement. Obviously it would be taking a risk on a player that comes with a high salary, has a long history of injury (only to be made so much worse by our brilliant fitness staff) and the well known Spanish factor.

Come to think of it, I would take Nonda too. He's done what Trez did in his time at Monaco and he's a fantastic, skillful striker. He's a lot better now than the prospect Juve watched at Rennes. He would probably be much like Trez with all the familiar complaints thrown at him. Note that he comes off a cruciate ligament injury though.

when you have the likes of raul and ronaldo, why would you need guti to play there?:)

he used to play up front much more often.
yeap, but raul and ronaldo can't play every game, the need rest too... that's why I'm pretty sure that perez (or someone else there) will take him back, if they don't buy totti or someone else galactico... and sally, £16M is just enough, he has only one year of his contract left, and look what happened with davids...

That would be a wicked deal! Morientes is better than Trez, and Puyol is better than Thuram. You can't go wrong, unless Fernando and Carles decide to fail like most Spaniards do in Italy. However, if there's a Spaniard that can succeed in Serie A, I think Puyol is that man.
